You left out the most important part.....Fixed it for ya Sid.I hope you can get yours fixed before expired warranty...a new transmission does fix everything...Until you hit 95,000 miles.
Your right...except in my case, I blew past the warranty part...You left out the most important part.....Fixed it for ya Sid.![]()
That was my thought as well!Oh man.
Going to work on that today.I hope you can get yours fixed before expired warranty...a new transmission does fix everything...
Mine is the same, shift quality varies from day to day and is worse when it's cold. But if I drive in sport for a while, the transmission looses it's collective marbles when you go back to drive. Clunky shifts, delayed shifts, it's terrible for a bit, then smoothes out. Doing the transmission re-learn process through forscan helps for a while, but not permanent. Same behavior stock and with Livernois Soft shift tune.Wondering if they’ll change the valve body and do the reset. I’ve read through the tsb and performing only an adaptive reset is the easy way out. If that doesn’t fix it I’m guessing they need to perform the whole tsb. How did your transmission shift prior to this issue? I’ve got 5500 on mine and it shifts really bad in sport or tow mode. Normal mode is better but I get a ton of lugging around 1100 rpm since I’m in way to high a gear. I get really rough downshifts in normal mode after driving in tow or sport for a bit. Weirdest thing. Having mine looked at early March but I doubt they’ll say much is wrong if no codes are thrown.
great video! that guy had that thing apart in no time. Why is it so hot burning clutches and the wires? Fluid?

Yeah exactly. There are times when I don’t feel any shifts and then others where it doesn’t know what to do. The memory bleeds over somehow. I would think it’s programming somehow because normal mode will shift fine and the. sport and tow have harsher shifts all around, especially downshifting. Like someone who can’t downshift fast enough in a manual. Harder cold shifts happen if the car has sat overnight or if I just parked and spend 5-10 minutes in the store and hop on the truck and go. Once I’ve driven for a bit in normal mode, shifting issues seem to go away for the most part. I’ll see what dealership says.Mine is the same, shift quality varies from day to day and is worse when it's cold. We don't know, but we know that a lot of people who haven't done voodoo early service haven't had problems. ?‍I guess what I'm looking for is.
Has anyone started a regular 'early' service on theirs and still had problems down the road. Not necessarily people that have waited until they sense an issue and start changing fluids and resetting adaptives hoping for a cure.
not really--they're also overwhelmed on routine oil changes. afaict, it's staffing problems. (the bad sign is when you're at a major dealership with hundreds of cars and there's "the transmission guy" for all of it; sometimes he even covers multiple dealerships and only works certain days.)Well this is NOT a good sign!
