so...as i process this info...

two parts failed...one was covered on warranty, one was not. you paid for neither???

that tells me the Tech fried the second part....oops.

Oh yes… I paid alright. $2200 for the HCU and labor. My warranty was out. The PCM was under power train warranty, so we didn’t have to pay for that.

Just purchased my extended warranty. Takes 5 days to process. Hopefully it is accepted.

Hi all, Butterscotch was picked up early yesterday morning. I‘ve been sick , so still haven’t driven it yet, but husband says everything is good. @P. A. Schilke, @CB750F, @Toytec, @ControlNode, husband is going to send the HCU in to Ford and try to find out what happened. He will let them know about the PCM also, but the dealership kept that since it was a warranty part.

Tracy, so glad you have BS back and repaired. I never used to buy extended warranties, but I did for my Ranger because of all the electronics on the truck. We also bought one for the wife's Escape Hybrid AWD.

We went back and forth on it sooo many times. We certainly lived to regret not getting one, but thankfully, there is a grace period And we purchased one. Lesson learned!
