  1. Are you happy with your Ranger poll?

I'll be one of the rare no Votes. 2019 Lariat Super crew, bought new in 19, traded for a new F150 powerboost a year ago. I liked the size, I liked the engine, and it was a pretty capable truck. Things I didn't like. Transmission shifting, probably related to the CDF drum issue. Powertrain...
  2. Michigan Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft

I don't recall the exact number I measured when I ordered, but these are the measurements of the driveshaft as it sits today. Near as I can tell from the grease marks, it was about 67" in running position. Fully collapsed, it's about 65.5". There is also a 3/8" spacer they send with the...
  3. Michigan Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft

    Spring bump Still available
  4. Michigan Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft

Sorry, must have had notifications off. It's off a 4 door/Super crew, but as someone has mentioned, I think the driveline length is the same for both configurations.
  5. Michigan Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft

    Bump, reduced to $300.
  6. Michigan Sold: Livernois MyCalibrator Tuner

Livernois MyCalibrator Tuner. You'll need to have Livernois transfer the device to your vin which I think they were charging $300 for last I checked. Traded my Ranger in for an F150, and Livernois doesn't offer a tune for it yet. ? $100 plus shipping, or local pickup in the Detroit area.
  7. Michigan Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft

They do have you send in a measurement when you order one. However, there should be minimal variation between stock vehicles. This one was on my bone stock 2019 Lariat FX4. If you've got a lift kit, then yes, it's probably going to be the wrong length.
  8. Michigan Sold: Wireless charging pad

Wireless charging pad from DirkM. Fits in the center console ahead of the shifter. $30 shipped USPS flat rate. $20 if you want to pick up locally, Detroit area.
  9. Michigan Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft

Tom Woods 1pc driveshaft. Installed begining of the year, removed it before trading in my Ranger for an F150. Definitely an improvement over the stock 2 piece driveshaft. $300 local pickup only in the Detroit area.
  10. Michigan Sold: New PPE transmission pan and gasket

New PPE transmission pan PPE328053200. Plus OEM gasket. Traded my Ranger in for an F150 powerboost. $200 plus shipping, can pick up local if you're in the Detroit area.
  11. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

So, sorry for anyone waiting for an update, I'm afraid this isn't going to be very helpful. I've been doing a lot of data logging with forscan trying to get more of a feel for what is DPFE sensor related and what is transmission related and what is just quirks of the system. Driving the truck in...
  12. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

No progress yet, been busy with other projects. Hopefully I'll have some time to work on in this holiday weekend. I did stick my head under the hood and look at it, access to the tube is going to be a bit rough. Stay tuned...
  13. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Question for you on replacing the tube. (Assuming you mean the metal tube the DPFE sensor connects to and not the rubber hoses between the sensor and the metal tube.) Ford service manual says to remove the EGR valve and cooler to access the tube. Did you have to remove those components or was...
  14. 10R80 CDF Drum Saver Kit

Well, the drum part number JR3Z-7H351-B referenced in the TSB is only $142 and looks to be available aside from the part system issues going on now. Looks like Suncoast offers them too, but is charging $500 a piece.
  15. 10R80 CDF Drum Saver Kit

Interesting offering, but if I'm taking the transmission out of the truck and far enough apart to get the CDF drum out of the transmission, I don't know why you wouldn't just install the revised CDF drum from Ford. The revised part isnt that expensive all things considered, the cost is in the...
  16. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

It comes as an assembly with a sensor of sorts attached. I'm not seeing the sensor available separately, so I'm getting the tube to be able to test swapping both. If it is the tube itself, then yes, cleaning should be effective.
  17. Blown motor ..

Local yards are selling low mileage engines for $1350 around here. I'd probably opt for one of those first over any off the shelf part.
  18. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Well, I've got both the EGR tube and the pressure sensor that goes into the tube on order. I'll swap the sensor first and see if that stabilizes it. If not, then there has to be some physical issues in the tube itself.
  19. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

Interesting. Since mine are still unstable after replacing the sensor, that would seem to suggest maybe something else isn't right. Would be really helpful if we could figure out what all goes into the calculated value for pressure. It's more than just the voltage output of the sensor since...
  20. Bucking/Surging Epidemic

I've only ever replaced just the sensor, so I can't speak to the connections at the bottom. But for the connections to the sensor itself, I did not reuse the OEM clamps. I replaced with a pair of mini worm drive clamps which makes it easy to swap out whenever needed.
