Completely understandable. I’ve taken the truck out once for off-roading but I think I’d prefer milder situations like approaches to camp sites and what not. Nothing that would essentially damage the truck.

I have a few good scapes on my wheels from rocks but nothing to bad. I still like going off road but have taken it easier lately because I'm waiting for my Bronco which won't be until next year. I figured I didn't want to push my Ranger anymore off road and damage anything now. Out of the two which ones are you leaning towards?

I'm leaning towards the Rocker. Its about $100 per wheel cheaper and I like the look of it a lot...but ask me an hour from now and I'll probably say the 970

100$ per wheel cheaper is a darn good deal to me haha. That is a tough decision to make. The pic you sent me looks great. Doesn’t look too busy at all. I change my vote to Rocker because 400$ off sounds kind of nice.

Now to see if I can swing a sweet deal somewhere. I know I can get it through Discount Tire with a 10% discount so that may be the best route.

I did! ? Now have to figure out which tire to go with. Ridge Grapplers are stupid expensive right now.

Seems like everything is right now! For what it's worth I've had them now for over 15,000 miles and absolutely love them. Have you tried contacting @Discount Tire? They're a sponsor here and can usually get you a good deal.

I am in between ridge grapplers and falken wildpeak at3w. I really like the 3 peak snowflake rating, I have driven in some pretty bad snow/ice through Julian to go to the desert in the winter and that is not a mountain you want to slip on. Of course no tire will save you more than being smart and safe but it does give a little more comfort. Therefore I am leaning 70% towards the falkens atm. I think they are like 50-70$ cheaper each too? Not sure though.

I’ve seen a lot of folks running the Falkens, which makes sense with Big Bear, Mammoth, Julian, etc. not too far away. They’re definitely cheaper than the Nittos, so a better value for sure. Seems folks that run them are very happy.

Right now I’m leaning towards the Cooper Destination AT3 4S which I believe is also 3PMSF rated. Although I don’t spend much time in snow. The price point is a great value right now. About $140 cheaper than the Ridge Grapplers and $35 cheaper than the Wildpeaks. But still shopping around.

I was looking at those too, I like the sidewall design. Cooper was running a 100$ off those set of 4 a little ago on discount I remember.

Oh, you’re right. I knew there was some kind special that they ran. I was trying to recall if it was still going. Maybe for the upcoming holiday. Would be great to get an even better deal. Agree with you on the sidewall and one reason I like them.

Okay ladies and gents. I haven't posted this yet despite the modification being in process for a bit but to say that I'm excited about this mod would be an understatement. Recently dropped off my grill, side vents, Ford emblems, and tailgate handle at www.oemautoart.com that just so happens to be about 30 or so minutes from me. The plan is to delete the chrome but do it the right way by having the parts appropriately treated and paint matched cactus gray. I've been told that the parts should be ready within the next week, so once I have everything reinstalled I'll post an update. It'll be nice not having to drive around with a bunch of parts missing...been getting strange looks

Here's an example of what it'll look like. Not the same color of course but you get the idea...

Got my grill, emblems, vents, and tailgate latch back from OEM Auto Art today and I think the chrome delete came out awesome! Super pleased with the look now. Glad to have the truck put back together. Let me know what you think ?

Also picked up my Cooper AT3 4S tires, so once the wheels arrive it’s on! Got a great deal from Discount Tire, about $140 cheaper per tire than Ridge Grapplers. So had to pull the trigger on the Coopers.
