Crap, now I have to go out and look at mine... Stupid truck has 37,500 miles on it. Looks like I'll just be cleaning it good and painting it with something to keep the air out...

If you're referring to the corrosion warranty, it's only valid if the body panel is see through before the time limit is up.

Yep three hours sitting around, chatting up folks and web surfing on the phone.

Dealer price on the rails are over $400 apiece. Going to be replaced under warranty. 15 days to get them in.

It's amazing the beating the front of my Ranger takes commuting up and down I-25 everyday. I've got numerous gravel dings in the paint and my windshield literally looks like its been sandblasted!
Then you throw in the crappy paint job and viola....less than a year in my Ranger looks battle tested :explode:

I bought some 'Ford magnetic' touch-up paint that is actually a little darker than the stock paint and did what I could. That showed me how vulnerable the factory paint job is. So I got the AVS hood deflector and Lamin-x headlight film.

The Lamin-x pre-cut headlight film was impossible for me to get lined up, and I spent an hour trying to do the one headlight. So I complained to them and they are sending me some generic sheets.

Dropped off the truck at the dealership yesterday to get the roof trim replaced today and saw a 2021 4X4 Sport Lariat in the new silver with a tow package and the B&O sound system. Window sticker was just over $47K. Same ugly exhaust.

Call this morning (Wednesday) service manager said one roof piece arrived damaged (I told them to check them for damage last week when I made the appointment) and supposedly they overnighted a replacement in.

I really feel this reflects poor service department management. If they screw up my headliner ... ?

They need to be careful of the attachment by the dome light. The headliner is glued to a magnet - the magnet “sticks” to the roof. The magnet seems to be stronger than the glue and the headliner comes out but the magnet gets torn off.

They should be able to do this without removing the whole thing, but maybe a warning is needed for this bunch.

Haven't seen anyone else recently post this complaint so I guess the issue has been sussed out with the original parts provider.

Fellas, looking for some advice here. I already made an appointment for next Wednesday 7/7/21 to get this looked at however I am not familiar with the warranty process. I had a 2015 focus st in magnetic (same color as my ranger) and never had a single issue with the paint and I commuted to work daily in it. My ranger sits in my driveway 5 days a week as my company pays for a work truck for me. Not parked under any trees or nonsense like that, but not in a garage. I spray the truck off frequently as well, so this is all-together incredibly surprising to me.

Think this will be covered under warranty?

That’s definitely warranty work. Others on here with other defects in the paint have gotten it taken care of this way. Let us know what they say and do so we can share info.
