Aluminum Roof Trim Corroded

The square end piece just by the windshield has turned white from corrosion. Other side the paint is bubbling. Any ideal how to remove them? I can grind them down and use zinc primer and black paint.

It is probably best to use a couple layers of painter's tape to protect the painted roof and sand them down. Then mask off and spray primer and black paint. It is easier than trying to remove them.
