Yea thats crazy, I would be letting corporate know about that as well. The dealer installed mine and now I have to figure out how to remove it since they are in process of a buyback with my Ranger. Should be fun....
Ford just authorized repurchase or replacement for mine. Have to decide but most likely repurchase as I don't think these issues have been addressed in later models. Not willing to risk driveline failure 50K down the road for this...
Already have, one case worker passed on me on to another, the other said they were sending out an engineer and now wont return my calls. Left 5 voicemails in the past two weeks. Dealer confirmed only spoke to FSE via phone. Bottom line, I don't think they care. Lemon law is my only option left.
I would take it back now. Get it documented. If you have to lemon law it that first instance of the complaint with the mileage will be very important. I was hoping to keep mine for 200k as well but I can no longer trust it. Zero confidence of it lasting that long. I am pursuing lemon law and if...
Told by dealer today that the issue is deemed a "Normal Characteristic or the truck and no fix is required."
Off to litigation I go... Took them 4 fix attempts and 36 days to determine that....hmmm. Cant fix it, so lets just say its not a problem...Thanks Ford.
Dropped it back off at the dealer today. Shop foreman did a ride along with me today and confirmed issue is still present. I suspect they will replace the driveshaft next.
Dropped off my truck at dealer today for ongoing driveshaft issue. Brought up the AC noise and showed them the vid. Advisors says that is normal and has to do with the motor that activates to keep moisture out of the blower box after the vehicle is off.
Seems legit I guess. As long as my AC...
Same happened to me and everyone here told me it must be a chip and I should just use my insurance. I fought that but in the end it was my only choice. Mine cracked sitting in a parking lot warming up with the defroster on. My dealer escalated the issue through engineering because they couldn’t...
Heat selection seems to be fine. No abnormal noise while changing settings. Although sometimes the manual buttons dont seem to change the settings, I have to use the touch screen.
No evidence of animals. Thats the first thing I checked and thought.
Been hearing this strange noise under the passenger side dash whenever the AC is on. It happens when the truck is on, and for awhile after it is shut off. Almost seems like an animal in there but it has been doing this months so I dont think that is the case.
Any thoughts? I am stumped on what...
Update on mine.. After 28 days in the shop, the replaced 3 u-joints. Drove it home and it seems like it fixed it. Not feeling the thump at stop anymore. Why the first tech couldn't figure that out, I will never know. Will be putting over 500 miles this weekend on it so that will be a good test...
It was covered 100% under part replacement. Don't let them send it off to the body shop. Also make sure they dont damage your headliner when installing it. They are supposed to remove the headliner and my dealer cheated and only removed one side and pulled it down causing the center mount to rip...
