Did you need the extension as mentioned for the other valve? Thanks!
No the Valvomax valve simply replaces the drain plug no extra joints to leak. See picture.

For the Fumoto attachment, do you all leave the leave the tube attached or pull it off each time? I've watched a couple videos and it seems like you are suppose to remove the tube when done and close the cap back up.
I leave mine attached. Here you can see it coiled up without the skid plate attached:

Once the skid plate is reattached, it sits basically on top of the skid plate. I attached the hose to the valve using an oetiker clamp. I think it was a 17, but might have been a 15.7. I use them all the time for business, so used what I had laying around.

Silly.... he probably runs a few quarts of soapy water thru the engine to clean it out...soapy water cleans out the tube when he drains it.:crackup::crackup:

Lol, how'd you know? First I mix 25% Dawn concentrated dish soap with 75% water. Then I start the engine and run it just below redline for 15 minutes to be sure everything gets a good washing.

In all seriousness, that is just the picture after it was first installed. I haven't drained oil into the tube yet. Just did my second oil change on my Ranger. Tried to install the Fumoto on the first oil change, but didn't realize I needed the extension adapter until I was doing the first change.

If oil in the tube causes me issues moving forward, I will put a ball valve on the end to close it up after the oil change.

See now I thought I was clever and used a soap cannon! Did it inside and out. It’s clean as can be now! Gurgles still when I start it but it’ll be fine ?

Never use laundry pods to clean your Rangers engine....you need the dishwasher pods ! Just look how good a job they do on greasy/oily dishes and silverware ! If you use some with the "jet dry" additive, all the fluid will drain out, leaving a squeaky clean surface !
Just dream of how your engine internals will sparkle when done !!!

You need to make sure and select the L4 2.3 engine not the L5 3.2 engine. That one uses the M14-1.5 valve. Our 2.3 uses the M12-1.75 valve.
