If anyone wants to change it out, it looks like you can easily get to through the right wheel well.

So to be clear, you undo the purple things and that's the screens for the turbo?

I run extended drain interval oil, 25 000 mile oil to be exact. But it's not as simple as just "using it". Nothing today is as simple as anyone lets on.

10k oil changes and my oil samples look fine on my ranger. I'll have my 4th sample coming up soon.

2006 civic I did it once a year/12k. Never had a problem up until 200k.. Then someone decided to smash into me while I was parked. So much for keeping it up and wanting to keep it. Lol

That’s it, you really don’t know if you’re draining good oil out or burned oil with failing properties and contaminates unless you’re testing it.

Doing 5k OCI's, and did my 15k change yesterday. The oil looks darker than my 05, 5.4 did at 5k and I always thought that engine was hard on oil. Does this mean my oil is used up? Probably not, but without doing oil testing I'm not going past 5k.

Just my non scientific observation?

I'm so glad I read this before having to say the same.... People watch a video and the world falls apart.

true dat - the best youtube videos are the ones that show you how to make a repair or how to build something or clips from rock concerts, I watched a few TFL vids years back and they made me puke and watched that Ford specialist guys vid covering the charging system and it featured multiple inaccuracies so one and done. Don't understand why people make some of those vids and worse still is that some folks accept the presentation as gospel. Now time for me to get back watching something when one can actually learn something - you guessed it the 3 stooges
