Where do you go to check the ECU Strategy and SW codes and if they are valid?

When you get the tuner originally you have to select Module Info and then send us your ECU Code and SW code displayed at the bottom of that menu. That tells us what stock strategy / sw codes or what stock tune version you have at that time. So if you go back to the dealer, they may update the stock cal and those codes would then change. So you'd just check Module Info before / after the visit to see if your stock cal was updated or stayed the same. If those codes are different you'd need to send a new tune request.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Thank you very much for all of the kind words, we greatly appreciate all of your orders and the positive feedback !

The Mycal Gauges menu does have a MAP sensor reading which allows you to see how much boost the truck is making and is located in the Airflow category. Our gauges are displayed in Ford's native language / format which is InHg or basically double what PSI would be. So I personally just cut the MAP reading in half for boost PSI or divide by 2.036 to be precise.

Is the MAP sensor reading including ambient barometric pressure or is the reading displayed the actual value above current barometric pressure?

The MAP reading is the raw data basically right from the manifold absolute pressure sensor without any conversions, so it's just relaying the data that sensor is reporting to the ECU.

Thank you very much for your order! We do offer vinyl decals and windshield banners in white, silver, and black currently. But they are gloss not matte unfortunately. We also have apparel, plate frames, and Powered By Livernois dome emblems as well. Here's a link to some of these on our website for more info. Feel free to shoot me PM with your name / email address if you'd like and I can make sure we have received everything needed for your tune request. Thanks again for your business Gary!

Have had the 91/93 Soft Shift tune on for a few weeks now and can confirm that in addition to more power and smoother shifting, I'm getting better gas mileage. Prior to the tune I was getting about 18 in town/20 hwy with the level kit and bigger wheels/tires. With mostly street driving with the A/C on, I'm easily getting 19 mpg in town and got around 23 mpg on a recent road trip going with the cruise set at 78 mph with a total tank range now showing around 400 miles as opposed to around 350 prior.

Quick update for those using the MAP reading on the MyCal - in my own research and in back and forth with LMS - it seems that reading is displaying raw MAP, which includes ambient barometric pressure (aka NOT boost).

This means, depending where you are, your MAP reading will show 20-30 InHg higher than actual boost pressures.

Nice. Did you have normal shift and changed to soft shift? Just wondering since mine is a little harsh for my taste under quick acceleration. Quick as in pulling into traffic not needing full throttle. I did not specify soft shift. How snappy are the shifts under hard acceleration? Thanks.

I've only used the soft shift (though I do have the "Performance" tunes available as well) because I figured it'd be more enjoyable for driving in the city and stop and go traffic. The shifts aren't snappy, instead it just glides through each gear and constantly pulls. I have yet to need full throttle.

That is excellent news, thanks for sharing! Have to love getting better performance and better mileage to go along with it.

I spoke to the calibrators further on this. I was told these don't take baro into account. that's something called pressure ratio. These work off of throttle inlet pressure, which is absolute. so it will adjust accordingly for altitude changes if possible.

If the shifting is a bit too firm for your preference feel free to shoot us a request for the softer shifting tunes also. We can add them to your tuner free of charge whenever you'd like. Also no worries on having to choose between them since we can load both performance and soft shift tunes on the Mycal so you'd have the ability to switch between tunes at your leisure.

I also can confirm the my mpg has gone up as well. Recently got 24.5 highway with cruise set at 75mpg. Best pretune was 21 to 22. Combined has increased about 2 mpg as well.

I didn‘t realize how nice these tunes are until I had to put my truck back to stock while the MyCal device was updated. I had it stock for several days and the stock configuration really blows. Getting ready to flash the performance soft shift tune. Can’t wait.
