Most people have taken their Fords back to the dealer to hopefully get their takeoff stumble/vibrations fixed or their ECM reprogrammed so it will either stop the vibrations and/or stumbles with no avail. Ford has issued plenty of TSB’s to fix various issues that customers have or haven’t complained about. Sadly I’m not aware of one that is out for saggy leather seats, poor climate control or thin paint complaints.

Most people added tunes for more power or with hopes of solving some of the drivability issues related to Ford complying with EPA restrictions, then Ford comes out with their own “Performance Tune” and sticks it to their customers because IMO they didn’t get it right from the factory.

Disgruntled customers is why most people buy different trucks or they just want something different.
As a disgruntled customer I’m living with my truck and happy with my Unleashed tune that has more or less fixed the drivability issues that my dealer could not address.

Give it time, I’m sure there will be some quirks with the new Nissan that will cause customers to go elsewhere or get aftermarket tunes.
Oh yeah, there are always quirks in a new model year vehicle in ANY segment. One thing about the Frontier is that this would be the THIRD year the 3.8 V6 and the 9 speed have been available. It was in the "old style" 2020 and 2021 Frontier before it made it into the 2022. This was a wise move on Nissan's part in a way, because it gave them at least two years to correct any issues in that engine and trans combo. Sure, there probably be some minor issues later on, but hopefully software updates and TSB's correct it.

Look at the Ranger as well. 2.3 4cyl Ecoboost and the 10 speed weren't without issues on its launch. Not really sure they've ironed out some of those to-date.

Was it ever actually installed and sold in any 2020's?

I looked long and hard for 2020 Frontiers with the "new" V6 last spring/summer. Couldn't find any around to test drive, anywhere.

How long has Ford been using that 10speed transmission in other vehicles and the Ranger was also used overseas before the States got it.
ALL bugs, I would think, should have been worked out.

Google it, yes, the 3.8 V6 and the 9-speed transmission first appeared in the 2020 MY Frontier. Guess it depended on what configurations were ordered by dealers in your area...

I understand that.

What I said was that there were none to be found on dealership lots well into the summer of '20.

So, while technically correct, this is the third MODEL year of the engine, it's really only been used roughly a year.

'20s with the new V-6 didn't start hitting lots till about Aug/Sept last year.

Thank goodness! Finally An end to all these “I think I might get a frontier” and “aren’t frontiers cool?” threads. Good riddance
I'll take up that mantle with the 2023 Ranger delay.

No need to justify your choice of the Datsun, I even bought one once (before they became ashamed of their name.) It just might now be the second best midsized truck on the market...
(Behind Ranger of course) and the margin is well pronounced.

Weird how upset and condescending some folks get over another forum user going to a different brand.

Sheesh, not like OP's dangling his new born baby over the railing of the 10th floor.
I’m tired of him creating 4 individual threads to talk about how great the frontier is - nobody wants this BS to be forced onto us.

I mean, I guess I get it.

I'm not new to forums in general(since 1998) so over the years duplicate threads just become the norm. Yes I'm aware of his dupilcates but I just figured they would die off by now and sink to the older pages.

Perhaps a mod could just lock the other 2-3 threads and we can just have this one open to discuss whatever can be discussed.

Right . . . . I've been a member here since March, and "FRONTIER" only came out of my mouth in the past week or two.... The majority of my participation in messages has been about the Ranger. Of course, there is going to be haters regardless. I don't understand people sometimes. How many message threads are about the Toyota on here?????

I requested one to be moved and locked. I am not aware of any others, other than this one, than I created. I guess when the word "FRONTIER" appears, I get blamed, eh?

I was just agreeing to defuse any hostility(Part of my anger management). I did see a few, but I will admit I did not even make note of the authors of those other threads so you have my apologies in that regard.
