Haven't tried Ford Pass, but I'm happy with the functionality and info from My Chevy. Although it keeps yelling at me because it's been an Arctic freeze for like 3 weeks and my pressure is low, lol
Not that anyone asked, but I'll give an update after 700 miles for those curious.
Things I like:
V6 provides strong, consistent performance.
Auto 4WD. Very responsive and confidence inspiring.
MPG: averaging low 20s so far on winter gas and temperatures between -15 and 20F since I've owned it...
I lived in Colorado for a few years, I know the effect of altitude well :) Turbo or bust up there.
In the sticks where I live, there are more F-150s and Silverados than there are people (primarily those two brands as well here)... So I shouldn't have trouble rehoming this guy to a Chevy nut in...
My new 2014 Forester had 8 miles on it but it came all the way from Japan, so that's fair. So happy to get it without a bunch of random customer farts already loaded into the seats.
A diesel zr2 would be a ton of fun, but that's like the unicorn of unicorns haha. This is just a gas z71, but I'm impressed with the power plant so far... Until I start tracking MPG after break in :P
Here's hoping! I'm in love with the 6th gen but we couldn't operate with a single car for that long. Never thought I'd end up with a Colorado after not liking them twice... Guess this one was meant for me :P
Was really hoping to build a 2022 Ranger or wait for the redesign, but my wife's car blew up just before Christmas and it put us in a bind. The net result was getting a Colorado Z71 that I caught in transit in this spiffy sand dune color. Not exactly what I wanted, but it came with a damper...
My wife thinks my Forester looks like all sorts of things. To non-car people they all seem to blend together.
The grills do share a hexagon shape, I suppose :)
Same platform, but might be built in Indiana now. Mine came from Japan with 8 miles on it and has been a golden child lol. *knock on all surface materials*
Aerodynamics, chonky tires, extra weight, and driving style. Check out the ZR2, its EPA rating is even worse lol. Ranger suffers from a class-worst fuel tank size, which is a bummer. Everyone else offers 20-21.x gallon tanks.
Yeah they've really filled their niche nicely. Around the '13-14 model years they caught up in interior quality too. No more flimsy tin can doors, either :)
