Curious how many of those having fuel dilution issues have really opened up their truck (like pedal to the floor) somewhat regularly?

Since the tune, I tend to use "turbo mode" to please the kids more often and my fuel in oil doesn't appear to be an issue any longer.

Something I don't get tho, if 91 octane is the answer why didn't i start having trouble earlier. I didn't start having a rise in oil level till I hit 7,600 miles and I ran 87 octane from the start. I'll give 91 a shot tho!!
Sane here, mine did not start until around 13,000 miles on truck.

If anything, it would be the other way around on my truck. As soon as gas prices started dropping, my foot got heavier on the pedal.

What brand and octane fuel are you running?

CORRECTION: it was 87. I went by the gas station used for the last two fill-ups, and they only offer 87, 91, and 93. So the cheapest was 87. Lost in translation.

So I've put around 750 miles since I had the injectors replaced and changed my oil with shell Rotella. The oil level initially rose a little bit, from just above the hashmarks to right below the top hole. But it has froze right there. I think it's safe to say that the problem most of us are experiencing lies within the injectors. I'll keep an eye on it and see if anything changes, but for now I'm calling the problem fixed! I'm going to reconnect my oil catch can and see what it catches now, since it used to be almost 100% fuel.

So because I’m on a phone and searching is hard, did they replace them under warranty or did you upgrade?

Under warranty. I was also experiencing issues of misfires on cold startup, so that made it easier. The dealer I go to now is super cool also so that helps.

I just saw Pennzoil has a new synthetic called Start & Stop technology it comes in 0/20 and 5/30, don't know what the difference is from the Platinum but maybe it could help or hold up a little better to fuel dilution!!!

Well, I got my first BlackStone oil analysis back with my 2800 mile oil change.

"The flashpoint shows 2.8% fuel, but we're hesitant to say that's cause for alarm. Some of it may be
from normal use like short trips so let's just see if fuel stays high next time before making any hard, fast calls. Copper and silicon are high, but like you noted, this is the first oil change and it's common to fine extra metal from the new parts wearing in and silicon from sealers/lubes. Once wear-in material washes out, your results should look more like universal averages, which typical show wear after ~5,300 miles. Watch for a rising oil level and check back
."

I'm now running the Amsoil 5w-30 Signature. I don't have any of the misfire issues that some are having, so I will just monitor the oil till the next change and see what I get.

I wouldn't be too worried, I had 12% fuel dilution after 500 miles and the dealer says that is not uncommon if it would have been a regular oil change interval (7500+ miles), but not so much at 500 miles. Sounds a bit like dealer BS to me? He told me not to worry because it was under warranty and I told him I planned on keeping the truck past 5yr/60,000 miles. I do not know who the dealer used for the test, but they took the sample and sent it in. When I had originally went in and explained the issue, the dealer changed the oil, took the sample, and marked the dipstick. At that time the oil was about 1/8in above the max mark. When I originally noticed the issue, it had been up to the twist (after 3000+ miles), and I changed the oil immediately, so I am betting 20% or more fuel dilution at that time. After dealer swapped out the HPFP and injectors, I now have 1700 miles and the oil level has risen to 3/8in above the max mark. According to the dealer, I have to go back in and start the process over again, they'll change the oil, mark the dipstick, check the progression,.............At this point if the engine seizes up, it would be a blessing,

If you put in the correct oil amount 6.2 quarts which is 198.4 ounces. Another 5.6 ounces brings it up to the top hole! Just a good thing to know!!
