the railroad at Wayne plant is actually doing pretty good.
here is some times for my order:
6/21 order accepted by ford.
I think I had my VIN within a week
8/10 window sticker came online
8/16 I think is around when tracking site changed to in production, but no ship date.
8/18 dealer texted me picture of his computer, it showed produced 8/17 with 00:00 time stamp
8/19 tracking site showed "built 8/18" and shows delivery date 9/5-9/11
8/21 tracking site showed "shipped" (Saturday)
8/21 dealer gave me rail car number.
now I switched to CSX tracking
8/21 shows rail card arrived at Wayne 8/19
8/23 @ 2:32 AM train left for Cincinnati.
Keep in mine this was over a weekend, so it took 2 days to get out of plant, loaded and moving on train.
8/23 @ 3:00 PM train arrived in Cincinnati
12.5 hours to go 254 miles = 19mph
8/24 @ 12:34 am, arrived in Louisville KY (I missed the message when it left Cincinnati).
8/25 @ 3:50 pm, left Louisville KY to Birmingham AL
8/26 @ 5:07 am arrived in Birmingham.
13.5 hours to go 464 miles = 34 mph
8/26 6:55 am, departed to Manchester GA
8/26 5:57 PM, arrived at Manchster GA
Looking at rail network I am betting Jacksonville is next.
in fact I guess the whole processes has not been bad compared to stories I was reading.
ordered accepted 6/21
truck shipped 8/23
that is only 9 weeks
