Absolutely wonderful - all the added flow benefits without the noise. The interior noise level is imperceptible from stock, cruising and under load. The outside maintains a subdued, but throatier low rumble. I'm extremely happy with my muffler choice!
From your pics above it appears you had it welded, would the 2.5'' pipes slip into each other so it could be clamped or is butting them up and welding the only way to go when keeping the oe 2.5'' pipes?

The pipe stubs on a 2.5" in/out muffler have a 2.5" inside diameter where the pipe will be a 2.5" outside diameter. The pipe will slip into the muffler and can be clamped.

If you cut the OEM muffler inlet/outlet close to the case, you may have enough length on each piece to insert them into the new muffler and clamp them. However, you may need a pipe expanding tool to make the stubs fit snugly/properly into the new muffler.

My suggestion: just have it welded at a reputable shop.

Turn off the fake engine noise via Forscan if you want it quieter in the cab too. Next: some strategic soundproofing.

Thanks all for the replies, wasn't aware the fake sound thing could be deleted with forscan will make that change also.

Where did you get the muffler hanger from? the OE is welded to the muffler case. Thanks

One thing that many seem to forget is that Turbochargers by themselves already lower the Exhaust Note a bit. Because of this it is easier to get a more mellow tone compared to a NA variant of the same engine. Also keeping the resonator I'm sure helps keep it low.

Muffler shops typically weld on their own hangers in the appropriate positions - that's what was done in my situation.

Finally the shop was able to get me in, they welded it all up with the new hangers, i echo what your review is about the sound although i haven't had a chance to hit the highway to see how the throttle response will be (if any) with a less restrictive muffler or any change to mpg's.
Overall a way more economical choice over a full catback especially when the pipes are still looking new and not rusted. I'm estimating i saved about $500 VS a full setup.

Update ,i was able to do a 200 mile loop highway trip over the last two days, the exhaust sounds great mostly because you can't hear any annoying drone, it does have a noticeable mellow tone, but that i would say was because i was concentrating to hear it,.
It's very slight and not overbearing at all. I asked my GF if she could hear any noise or hum trying not to bias the question and she said no nothing when i did get on it up to about 95 it came alive and sounded great.:)
Also it did not down shift from 10th to 9th going up a 6% grade hill, it held CC set @ 75mph,
(it previously would downshift to 9th).
So i'm echoing @philosopheriam positive review.:like:

Are you saying the exhaust mod changed the downshift behavior?

I think the less restrictive exhaust flow now makes the engine more efficient allowing it to have the power to stay in 10th were it had shifted to 9th to maintain the CC set speed, now of course there are a lot of factors or variables like head winds or what I'm carrying if anything.
So on the same road i travel frequently was my 'test' area where it usually downshifts to 9th the first time with the exhaust change it didn't, was there some other factor(s) involved who knows?
It's purely a non scientific test and just a observation and something i monitor as i drive my route. Next trip i'm going to set the CC @70 (lower rpms effectively) and see if it can 'lug' up that hill without shifting.
