The OEM door harness add-on is no joke. No wonder its so pricey. Whole damn thing!

My 21 xlt has tremor pkg. Min requirement for the tremor option were that the truck be a screw and have 301a.
My door mirrors are power adjust, blis and manual fold.
Popped off the tweeter to have a look at the connector. No wiring for heated glass, turn lights or puddle light.
The connector does have the wiring for power fold.
If the mirror assembly ever needs replacing I would consider upgrading my door mirrors to the model that incudes power fold. But the truck doesn't have the power fold button. So that would have to be added as well. I don't know what if any additional wiring may be needed to get them to work.

If I ever get really ambitious I may attempt to replace the blis glass with the blis/heated glass.
The cabin wiring is very well explained in this thread but I would still have figure out how to do the wiring inside the mirror assembly. I haven't read or watched anyone modify the mirror assembly wiring yet. But if I do replace the glass, I will post it.

so back on topic ?
@Scubamado had a slightly different approach than mine here: XLT swap out to Lariat Mirror and door Harness
Rather than create the door harness he bought stock Lariat door harnesses ($90 for LH and $80 for RH).
Part numbers to the lariat harnesses:
KB3Z14630-F (passenger side)
KB3Z14631-G (drivers side)
The harness includes the accordion seal. The advantage of this is you don't need to add pins to the connector nor fish wires thru the door accordion seal, so a cleaner in the door install. Only disadvantage is the cost, but your time to create your own harness aint free! at least mines not.
The Tap Harness I made would now tap into the door harness where it comes into the body. Lengths and everything would be the same. Ryan had a good point about the grounds, I added one. Not sure if the Lariat door harness mates up to existing or non-existent grounds indide the cab.
Stay tuned
I just looked today and those harness are more than twice the price now. $380 to get both. And for my `21 XLT 301A I'd still need to add the power fold button on the dash. I was looking at the ClearView tow mirrors and would love to get the heated mirrors and the power fold, just for when the mirrors are extended.

Updated mirror control: AB3Z-17B676-A

I just ordered that along with the harnesses and the ClearView Tow mirrors for the Lariat to put on my `21 XLT.

One of the main justifications for me on going with the Lariat mirrors, over the simple bolt on of XLT with BLIS, from a safety POV is that with a wide trailer requiring tow mirrors and car on the right could be just at the back corner of the trailer and no view of the trailer signal lights or the rear lights on the truck, so having the extra signaling lights on the mirror where they can see them was a big consideration for me. I also think power folding mirrors may actually be of use with extended tow mirrors.

I've started the research into my truck Oct 21 build `21 XLT-mid (301A). I do have the fuse in 37 of the BJB. Looks like pin 8 of C213 is empty on both sides with the stock harnesses, I'm guessing the Lariat door harness will fill in the door side harness (14631) of that. Looking at C237 it looks like the cab side harness (14401) is empty at pin 21, I'm not sure without a closer look, but it looks like in the photo there may be a GY wire in 21 on the engine bay to cab side harness (14290). I've ordered a pin set from amazon I I'm hoping that once I have that door harness, I just need to add the wire between C237-21 and C213-8 (left side) + C238-9 (right side) to get the heated mirrors working.

I think that may be the mirror heat wire I circled in blue on the 14290 harness, kind of behind the GY-BU AND GN-YE wires.

Awesome job - keep up the reports. Def easier to buy the harness than how I did it. At least I think so - replacing the door harness may be a bitch!
Good luck - I still cant believe Ford cheaps out on something like heated mirrors
