Well when I can't reach something in the bed I just pickup the wife and heave her back there and pls note Randy Newman's song re short people

.
Short people got no reason
To live
They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet
Well, I don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
'Round here
.
Short people got nobody
Short people got nobody
To love
They got little baby legs
And they stand so low
You got to pick 'em up
Just to say hello
They got little cars
That got beep, beep, beep

They got little voices
Goin' peep, peep, peep
They got grubby little fingers
And dirty little minds
They're gonna get you every time
Well, I don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
'Round here

This thread is the definition of stupid.

that being said, I’m 5’9” and I don’t have any problems with the bed height. It’s height is a side effect of the towing capacity.

My truck is lifted and I still don’t have a problem with the bed height, I need to climb in the bed or go around the sides for stuff all the way in the back of the bed, but that’s any bed. My upper body isn’t 5’, and I assume there aren’t many people’s who is…

I noticed the load height was high but that didn't bother me as much as the lack of a good foothold on the bumper to stand on and no stake pocket or anywhere to grab hold of while getting up in the bed for any reason.

The 2.5" front level also seemed to lower the tail, and a bedstep helps out a lot when I have to get up in the back.

Don't understand why the OP even bought a Ranger if it didn't fit his style.
To be fair, I'm not trying to bust on the Ranger, it's a great truck, but, I don't buy a truck to play with like a little kid, I use a Truck to haul stuff, Appliances, dump runs, furniture, etc. The bed is the reason i buy a Truck. Wtf were they thinking? For Me, at the end of the day, the weird super high azz end was too much. I can't see Ford doing this intentionally. I say- unintentional flaw. would of corrected it, but caught too late. Sad.

Get a Maverick, I’m 6’1” and can touch the bed center from the side.
So my thought is that someone didn’t check it out enough before buying to see if it fits their “comfort” level vs need.

I'm 5'10", and I don't see your point. I've never owned a truck ('99 frontier, '97 Ranger, '88 f150, '12 f150) that was comfortable to reach into the back of the bed maybe i need a booster seat. The bed is for hauling things. Remember you bought a truck. BLUF you wanted a new shiny different truck, so you bought something and now your nit picking. You're the guy that broke up with your dream girl and claim it was because she didn't meet your needs in some way and still complain to your friends; meanwhile, your new girl doesn't either. I bet you wonder why you can't keep friends, too.

Question: Are you the one on the left or the right?
