It leans left in order to compensate for road crown. That way the truck is level while driving down the highway.
rofl....i hope thats not a serious answer......not all roads are crowned in the middle at all

Don’t sweat it. - @P. A. Schilke ’s Ranger leaned to left a bit too - nothing to worry about here.

Hi Duke,

Omg! One of my SCCA RaceTrucks I built at Livernois

Not sure of the track, but the driver is George Follmer, Formula 1 driver of the UOP Shadow and SCCA TransAm Champion.

Love it!

Best,
Phil

Haha, was thinking of wedge too when I wrote that.
Hi Justin,

Most famous turn in my mind is turn 2 at Sears Point in Napa California.. Many two wheel cornering photos....Not sure where the Rangers were when George two wheeled it. I have done a few two wheel turns...it happens so fast there is little difference in the cab but the photos of it are so cool...it shows hard racing at its best....

Best,
Phil

I had a 1989 Bronco 2. Many two wheel cornering moments in that truck too.

Dealer inspected the rear end and said 3/4” was in tolerance my gas tank was full so it showed the worse case. Nothing was found wrong.
you might want to look into ordering some of Fords "fix" leaf spring plates. your local ford dealer can order them. i ordered two from memphis, tn factory. you could have ford put one or two on your left rear depending on how bad your lean is

***the factory leaf spring plate "fix" is part#: KB3Z5798A $68.00 a piece

Retired from Honda Racing.

I had a 88 Bronco II with a stick, I could carry the front wheel all the way through a turn to where it would chirp and let out a puff of smoke when it landed, but only on lefts, it was very predictable, drop it in second and hammer it through a turn, insane fun.

And for the record, that thing really leaned to the left, way more than anybody's Ranger.

Hi Dan,

Yeah...Bronco II was a concern. During development it was decided to release a skid plate for the transfercase...not only to protect the T/C but also to put more weight below the center of gravity to improve the handling... It passed all our testing, but sure seemed tipy to me...

Best,
Phil
