Looking for impressions of anyone running the Ford or Fox 2.0 leveling kits with little to no leveling, which will require turning down the spring preload to keep the rake. Is it worth the effort to use the Fox front struts with no lift or would just the Fox rear shocks take care of most of the issues? Someone out there must have done this by now...

Running Fox 2.0 at their out of the box height. If you don't really need the lift stick to the rears to improve the ride and call it a day.

You can always do the fronts later if you don't like rears alone.

I’m still on factory shocks. I have researched the hell out of this. Tons of information on here from members about their experiences. From what I have gathered rear shocks will deliver the biggest bang for the buck and the difference is very noticeable. For the ones that do all 4 most say it solves the problem and truck drives great. Doesn’t matter much from what I can gather what height you set the fronts. That seems more to be preference to leveling or having rake still. Biggest factor for many was getting height for larger tires and reducing potential rubbing at full wheel lock in any direction. It has been said more than once to use same manufacturer for all the shocks if that’s the direction you’re going in. Personally, when I get to that point will be doing FP Fox 2.0 myself

Good question. I have Fox 2.0 on just the rears and that made a world of difference. Curious if it’s worth spending the money on the front end setup too.

I don’t mind the stock rake, and if I go with the 2” lift that the front Fox 2.0 setup has by default, I’m pretty sure I’ll think the stock tires will look too small.

From all my reading it seems like the real benefit for the front is a slightly stiffer spring (15%?) and the 2" lift. Without the 2" lift I would guess the noted benefits would not really be there. But how many just did the fronts w/o the rears then added rears later to really know how much more the front helps? That is the $980 question.

If you're not interested in lifting the front then I would probably just stick to the rears. That's a lot of money to spend if you're not lifting the front end. The rears are a lot cheaper, take a lot less time and is easier to do on your own if you want to go that way.

I am also quite curious if anyone has done this too and their feedback.

I'm currently running the stock 18" tire size (265/60R18) and for my project on my Ranger been leaning towards the non-Ford tune Fox 2.0 kit and looking at improving the ride on/off-road but I don't want to level my truck out, instead keep the rake. Personally, I would like to raise the front a paltry 0.5".
