Engine Cover TSB 21-2147 Warranty Voided

Out of curiosity I pulled my plugs, and they were all rusty on the threads. Not to the point of seizing but bad enough that I didn't want to put them back in. The plug tips looked great themselves.

I was picking up some parts at the dealer so I stopped by service and asked them about
1) the EGR fiasco - still not on their radar and "I would have to test it first". And this part is classic, well since you have already installed the part it complicates things!!!??? :-/
2) The umbrella fix for spark plugs, I wanted them to inspect them. Said cant do it under warranty unless its misfiring. :-/
AND of course never heard of either TSB.

Anybody in Raleigh - Mebane or Greensboro have a dealership that has a clue they can recommend.

Oh on a positive note, the guy in the office said there is a NEW cover coming for the TSB! I bet i looks like this! Sorry but this pic just NEVER gets old!

It was every plug. I park outside and wash it frequently. I've only rinsed off the engine bay once.

That's positive news. I would rather get the new cover than the one that is being discontinued.

I'll go one better but maybe don't read any further if disturbing images keep you up at night.

When I first moved down here at a very fit age of 18 (I used to run 10 miles a day, was on the National Fencing Team - I can drive fence posts!, and was only 116 pounds) and as a French Canadian, wearing Speedos was normal beach atire.

To make it worse, I had a dive flag Speedo with the red diagonal stripe on the front!

It doesn't show up in Google (probably blocked by work!) but I did see one with a Canadian Flag on it and the Maple Leaf is perfectly placed! =D

yes, it is a nice area especially if you want to drive over/through horse dung left on the roads by the Amish "green" vehicles ! I can be there in 30 to 40 minutes

Could this be a troll from Ford? Just cancel the old one. Panic buying starts and clears out the old inventory.

Then they launch a new and better cover that protects the top of the engine from water better.

confirmed. same as my 2020 OEM Ranger cover.. not that it matters... if you listen to the 'mo better cover / clear old stock conspiracy theorists
