I know this thread is old, but thought I would mention my fix for this issue (saw it on You Tube). Magic Eraser brought it back to new with very little effort. I'll treat it with 303 also.

Looks like it's pretty easy to take the shift knob off. But, of course, I can manage to screw up even the simple jobs!

To clarify.....I meant the piece I need to replace......the piece with the gear indicators. I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to remove the shift knob.

I wonder if the shift plate will fit over the shift knob. Guess I'll find out. This is exactly what I needed....thanks!

I really do think the heat had something to do with it. I used the wipe soon after starting up and it was insanely hot inside . Doesn’t say much for the finish quality. I’ve those wipes many times with no issue.

Hi folks, The finish on my shift plate (the piece with the gear indicators) is damaged and I want to replace it. Can anyone tell me how to remove it (i.e. what has to come off, etc) or point me to a video? And a warning to others....all I did was wipe the area with an Armor All Cleaning Wipe...

I've put seat covers in my Jeep TJ. Had similar air pockets at first, but they worked themselves out with use.

Hey guys.....do any codes have to be showing before the dealer will do the trans TSB? My '23 is "jerky" in the lower gears, but not sure if it is the same that so many are experiencing. I'm at 18 months and 11k miles. Thanks.

Have you treated the top of yours with anything? I haven't and it's fading a bit. Wasn't sure if 303 would help.

I know this is a long shot. We had a fatal pedestrian hit and run in our neighborhood just before Christmas. These photos are the only vehicle evidence collected at the scene. If anyone can possibly shed any light on what type of vehicle they are from, I will pass along to our local police...

Update....calls work perfectly if I unplug from CarPlay.

Phone volume and radio volume set to max....still have to shout at the top of my lungs for anyone to hear me.
