Mine was slightly overfilled by the dealership, but it's staying 1/8 over the full marker with no fuel smell. 2800 miles with an oil change 500 miles ago. Did one really early.

I listen to this Ford mechanic sometimes, here he speaks about Ecoboost engines and fuel in oil, he has specifically said in the past that 2.3 Ranger fuel in oil is a normal thing.

Well, dropped truck off at dealership this morning for the fuel issue and recall checks. I got a call back about 2 hours later asking me how much oil I put in (6.2) and that is does have an extremely strong fuel smell.

Got another call, they Expedited the process with Ford corporate and will be preforming a high pressure fuel pump leak test and injector leak test. Should have more news tomorrow. Fingers crossed they can figure it out and the fix they preform sticks.

The guy claims that the oil smelled so bad of fuel his eyes watered, yet the Blackstone report only showed 0.8% for fuel dilution? That's hard to believe? I have read that the Blackstone method is not accurate on fuel dilution.

Well, everything came back with no leaks or anything. Ford suggested to him that it could be if I take very short trips frequently. Only solution they gave is they would do an oil change (I pay for of course) then they scribe the dipstick and I bring it back in 1k miles. Ford believes there is no issue. Even after the tech said it was overfull by half a quart.

I've heard that same story many times on this forum, same old tune by Ford. Some have a serious problem that is not recognized by Ford!

Yeah. Really unfortunate that they are doing this. While I do love having a truck, if my oil level rises after two weeks, depending on their solutions, I may be selling to carvana and looking for something different. Was thinking about an f150 but I think I’m done with Ford. No idea what I would get though, I enjoy having a truck but something small and can kinda tow would be great. Just gonna miss having a bed.
