Chrome & Windows 10.

I didn't have to upload the XML last time I updated Sync 3. This is a new change.
That appears to be it - or else they fixed something. I tried with Chrome this afternoon and it worked fine. I was using Firefox before. So maybe it is Firefox, or maybe it is some of my ad/privacy plugins that was causing trouble.

Log in to http://owner.ford.com and click on Support, SYNC Software Updates. This most likely will resolve the "Network Connection Needed" notifications that we've been seeing. I'll apply the update at lunch and report back.

I would provide the direct link to download, but it looks like it may be tied to my account.

I don’t believe it will resolve the notification messages. My Ranger came with 3.3 and I was getting those errors.

Ok, now to throw another wrench in the thread. I just tried to connect to my home WiFi and then Check Software Update and this is what came up.
4U5T-14G391-CJ Does anyone else see this update trying to come through? It downloaded and then started to install and then quit.

This update is 4U5T-14G381-AN so this must be a different one.

Mac Users: I had an issue with my first USB drive efforts. I used these settings to reformat my flash drive, and the system recognized and started installing right away.

Using Disk Utility:
"Erase" on top >> ExFat >> Master Boot record

New change I did is to use the recommended StuffIt Expander to unzip.

Not sure if one or both did the trick, but the install went well.

I was also able to upload the XML successfully. But I had to restart my web-browser and walk through the download process again (I didn't come back until a day later to upload the XML. Web session must've timed out).

I just logged onto my Ford Owner's website and it's telling me another update is available.
I wish they'd just identify the software by version and build number. I don't have the secret decoder ring for their dumb file names.....

Yep, as I suspected. It defaults on GUID not Master Boot Record.
Good info!
EDIT: I can confirm that Stuffit Expander is needed....the MacOS default Archive Utility treats things differently.

4U5T-14G381-AN is the one that most are trying to update to and now
4U5T-14G391-CJ looks to be the new one that just appeared today.

I looked for 4U5T-14G391-CJ on the Ford Owner's website, but it still is trying to get me to download 4U5T-14G381-AN.

Thanks, I'm going to have to start keeping the old files I guess so I know what I did last. I have the same issue as Rangerdanger....it downloads to 14G381-AN file, which translates to build 19052 if memory serves.
