Sync 3 update

I have a 2021 stx ranger and I am just curious if there is a faster way to download the update for the sync3 other than through wifi. I dont feel like running my truck for over a hour just to download it

There are many other posts on the updating process. But I believe in terms of the most recent update, what you are seeing is the map updates, but I could be wrong.

The truck does not have to be running, just in ACC mode. However, after about 30 minutes, the system shuts off, so I recommend starting it for a couple minutes every 25 minutes or so.

That may be true. Mine would never show any progress during the download. Probably due to weak signal. USB worked for me, but wifi would definitely be easier.
