@da808moto -- As far as offset goes, these are Raceline 156B with +35 offset (20mm less than stock) with stock size Cooper tires 265/60/18 and they sit pretty much flush.

If this question isn't allowed on this thread, please move it where it should go? I was hoping that someone on the lowering thread might have already done what I'm about to ask?

I have a question or two for yall that have put 20" wheels on their trucks already?

Stock wheels on the Ranger I've ordered are 18x8, +55 offset with 265/60 tires.

I've been talking with Method Race Wheels and was planning on using their 20x10 605 with a -24mm offset and 265/50 tires, along with Air Designs Flares, since I'm trying to clone the SCT SEMA '19 Ranger and all. So anyway, they recommended I use the 605, but go with 20x9 -12mm offset.

Today, they said the 20x9 wheel fit and was 1.5mm away from the caliper, but it needed to be 3mm away from the caliper, for them to approve it fully.... They said that this option was too close to the calipers, so they didn't recommend me using it. I asked them if I could use a 3mm spacer and they said yes, but I wouldn't have enough stud threads to be able to fully torque my lugs and that a 3mm spacer may eventually do damage to the hub?

So, my main question is what offset are yall running, if you're using 20"x9" or 10" wheels? Have yall had any issues with -12 offset contacting the calipers? I've searched other sites selling wheels for the 19+ Rangers and they don't say anything about -12 offset interfering with anything?

Well, I was just curious?

Thanks!

So mine is 4x4 I just took the decals off the bed side. Mine is 2.25" front (anything lower and the top control arms are maxed and you are riding on the bump stops) and 5" rear. On the factory tires was 33" from the ground to the center of the wheel well all the way around. My tires are 265/40R22

I can't tell you how helpful your feedback is, as I am also looking to lower my 4 x 4, but so many of the other folks who have lowered seem to be 4 x 2 drivers. I am a paraplegic, so needless to say, transfers into my Lariat with a stock suspension and the 265/60R18 wheels/tires is a bit of a chore and transferring into the bed isn't even an option in its current config. As a result, I was thinking go as low as possible (3/6). But seeing your pics, I'm definitely now set on 2/4. Again, really helpful! Thanks!!

Finally got my wheel and tire experiment done! I am very happy with how the setup turned out. The wheels are 2014 F150 FX4 20" Wheels painted Magnetic Gray to match. I am running 1" thick BORA adapters to make them fit. The tires are 265/50R20 BFG Advantage T/A Sport LT. So far everything has ran well except for a bit of rubbing on the front crash bar at full lock. I may try aftermarket crash bars.
I have decided that I will do an inch lower in the front when Belltech releases their UCA. That project will have to wait until spring. Hoping the extra drop will fix the rubbing at the front.
Just ordered a LUND Elite roll-up tonneau cover and bed mat. Planning to tint the windows soon.

Installed the Belttech Kit like a month ago, when with 2 front 4 rear. I am planning to get either spacers or aftermarket wheels to make the wheels more flush with the fenders.
IF I plan to use my Stock STX wheels, what size spacers i should get?
If I plan to get aftermarket wheels, maybe 18 inch, what size rim, tires and offset I should get?

I would go with an inch think spacer.
You could tape a plumb line to the top of the fender and measure from it to the wheel. That will give you an idea of what thickness spacer you would like.
Also remember that you may have rubbing issues with a spacer. Turn your wheels full lock both ways and check how much space you've got to the front and rear crash bars.

That looks fantastic! I knew those wheels would good on there. BTW, that is one handsome truck you've got there.

Have you done anything with the light gray lower valance? I can't stand that color and, really want to get it color matched.

I totally agree! My Shadow Black Lariat 4x4 originally came with the upgrade to the 18" machined wheels with magnetic painted pockets -- the same kind of wheels as shown in @Doc 's profile pic. I think they look great on his truck, but on my black ride, I felt they made the truck look a bit "prissy"...certainly less masculine. As such, with my FordPass points about to expire, I decided to order the OEM accessory wheels pictured below. They're basically the wheels that come with the black appearance package, only the outermost face of the wheel is machined, not black. While I think they look better on the truck than the original "upgrade," the machined face just stands out too much and is starting to annoy me. But after seeing what @66F100 did with his truck, it has me considering getting my original "upgrade" wheels painted all magnetic.

Those Black Appearance wheels are my favorite stock Ranger wheel. The problem that I have is that I think that anything smaller than a 20" wheel doesn't fit a Sport Truck build. Just my opinion but that is why I wanted to get something larger than stock Ranger wheels.
Going with the painted F150 wheels worked out for me but may not for others. I paid $275 for the wheels with tires and sensors, $280 for the adapters, and $300 for the paint job. That totals $855 just in wheels. I have been trying to sell the tires that came on the wheels but have had zero interest. The paint was done by a friend of mine at a price that I think is really cheap and, the wheels were very cheap for my area. I think that my setup was quiet a bit less than most people would pay for similar.
All that to say that I am happy with the setup but you may not have such luck.
You really have to spend some time figuring the cost of stock wheels versus your choice of a custom wheel. I could very easily see someone spending more to get a set of stock Ford wheels to look and fit the way you want them too versus just buying a set of custom wheels that fit right out of the box. It's all a personal choice.
I wanted to share my setup so that others can see a different solution to the same problem. I likely would have went with an aftermarket wheel if COVID hadn't screwed up production at Centerline and American Racing Wheels in CA. But I am so happy with this setup that I am fine it went this way, everything happens for a reason!

I agree with you on all points, especially if you look at it from the perspective of a sport truck build -- big rims and ultra low-pro tires, definitely.

I think I was foolishly lured by not wanting to let my $240 in FordPass points expire. While it's hard to watch free money evaporate, in the end it may wind up costing me way more...ugh. I was looking at a wheel from American Racing, that in the end would have looked better and cost less. Live and learn, I guess.

Yes, I painted it a lighter variation of the Magnetic gray. By doing that, it kept the contrast but in a more subtle way than the silver. The color is Toyota Phantom gray 1E3

When are you taking the plunge?!

You wouldn't be the first person to lower a 4wd Ranger. Check out @FinalNotice build. He has a lowered 4wd sitting on 22's. Really sharp truck.

I would be interested in hearing if he has had any problems with his truck since lowering.

Calling my local Belltech outlet this AM. Will keep everyone posted on how it goes. Wish me luck!

And yes, I did see @FinalNotice 's ride. I agree, very sharp. I think his post was the original one I responded to on this page.

So, I just heard back from the Belltech dealer in Minneapolis, and received a quote of $1,750 + tax, for parts, labor & alignment. Given the 2/4 kit is available from Belltech for ~$730, does ~$1,000 sound reasonable for the install & alignment?
