Thanks so much for your feedback. Yes, I followed Ford's download instructions to the "T". As I understand it, the MEM_ERR01 code signifies that there is not enough memory to complete the upload, which I think means that I need to clear SYNC's memory with a Master Reset. But that is such BS...
I recently tried to update my maps to NA 2 22 and got the dreaded MEM_ERR01 error message just moments after plugging in my USB drive. However, my About SYNC screen shows my current Navigation Maps Version as NA 2 22. During my attempted update, no screens changed, no restarts occurred, and...
Quick update: 2"/4" 4WD Ranger lowering kit ordered through the Belltech website on 9/27. Kit invoiced and shipped on 10/21, so not quite as bad as the mid-November availability date that Belltech gave my Minneapolis installer.
For those interested in making a move soon, you might want to get in line and put your order in via the Belltech site. When I went through their Minneapolis distributor this morning, they were advised not to expect availability on the kit until mid-November. My website order went through, but...
So, I just heard back from the Belltech dealer in Minneapolis, and received a quote of $1,750 + tax, for parts, labor & alignment. Given the 2/4 kit is available from Belltech for ~$730, does ~$1,000 sound reasonable for the install & alignment?
Calling my local Belltech outlet this AM. Will keep everyone posted on how it goes. Wish me luck!
And yes, I did see @FinalNotice 's ride. I agree, very sharp. I think his post was the original one I responded to on this page.
I agree with you on all points, especially if you look at it from the perspective of a sport truck build -- big rims and ultra low-pro tires, definitely.
I think I was foolishly lured by not wanting to let my $240 in FordPass points expire. While it's hard to watch free money evaporate, in the...
I totally agree! My Shadow Black Lariat 4x4 originally came with the upgrade to the 18" machined wheels with magnetic painted pockets -- the same kind of wheels as shown in @Doc 's profile pic. I think they look great on his truck, but on my black ride, I felt they made the truck look a bit...
I can't tell you how helpful your feedback is, as I am also looking to lower my 4 x 4, but so many of the other folks who have lowered seem to be 4 x 2 drivers. I am a paraplegic, so needless to say, transfers into my Lariat with a stock suspension and the 265/60R18 wheels/tires is a bit of a...
Thank you...you sure could be right. My concern is like when you reach out to pretty much any tech support conduit, and they're like, "Well, have you tried restarting?" And their next response will be, "Well, you're gonna have to reinstall the OS." (e.g., Master Reset). I don't mean to sh!t...
It's almost like I need to be able to interrupt the boot path like you can in Windows, by directing the BIOS to look to an alternate source (USB drive, Blu-Ray Drive, etc.) for an OS (or in this case, an update).
Thank you for your continued assistance and your question. I mean that 4U5T-14G422-CAH_1625428946000.TAR.GZ has already been downloaded, so theoretically, turning WiFi off should have no impact. Also, because Sync has not completed installing this file (based on what I see on the progress bar...
I can't thank all of you enough for your suggestions...but here I sit...third day of failure. Here's what I've tried: What UofMEngineer & SymChris suggested (turning off automatic updates). What AlCohenUSA suggested above (hard reboot via battery disconnect & verify a good WiFi connection)...
Thanks, Alan -- I kind of wondered about that myself. Before I try it, can anyone let me know the implications of a battery disconnect (e.g., what other systems will be impacted, what else I may have to reset, etc.)?
