I can confirm identical results when I downloaded to my IMac - It was hosed.
I then used my Windows machine to avoid that ClusterF.

This may be your mac acting weird because they're compressed archives. The backslash is a folder indicator in the filesystem, and I've seen macs act weird when displaying compressed archives only in a folder.

Missing the voice file. They had better not actually look like this...

It is very common that the built in unarchiver has issues with zip files. Theres a reason the 3rd party apps are as popular as they are. The built in screws up the structure consistently. You should see what it does to my sql zips. Thats also why the exact same file unzips properly on windows, as you know.

If you use “the unarchiver” it will unzip properly.
Huh. I've never had a problem (been using macs since the '90's) and I routinely have pretty large mysql backups that unzip perfectly fine....

If the built-in unarchiver does not unzip it correctly, there is a problem with the original .zip file. This isn't my first rodeo... OS X should not have any problem unzipping this archive if it is well-formatted.
I got that exact same result when using the built in Mac utility.

Used Stuffit (free) and it unzipped properly.

Did you shut off the truck, open and close the door and re-start it afterward?
Yes - the key cycle as suggested by Sync chat. I also did a soft reset, and neither of them made any difference. I do see that someone else further down in this thread is reporting the same issue. And like them, I've never done any updates other than what's been available through the Ford site. Those updates include a minor Sync update - maybe a year ago?? - and a map update.

Also got into another chat session with Sync. Their only suggestion is to take it to the dealer. :(

Did you have 3.4.20021 installed prior? If so, then this would make sense. Apparently a few did go out with that release level. For those, the voice pack is already at -xL. Same question for quangdog.

Sync had 20021 listed as my current version. And I updated from 19101.

OK, then you should have the latest voice pack so the installer was fine. It's the one specific case where a voice pack update isn't needed. You can double check the version in the IVSU Version diag screen to confirm.

Does/will the auto update eventually update our versions? I am way late to this post, sorry if I missed that part.

OTA isn't turned on yet. I know some later v3.3 versions had an issue with OTA not working, but I'm not clear if that will impact this update too.

Mine shows map version NA118.

Others here mentioned NA119.

Do you have to manually update to get that version?

Not really a concern as I never use the built-in Nav, I'm just curious.

Here's my list from inside the SyncMyRide directory. Non-Nav.

my 14G391 is labeled BF...not BL. Not sure that makes a difference?

I have not installed yet. Happy to share my VIN if needed.

Edit: MacOS Big Sur using StuffIt to unarchive.

Edit PT2: WTF is up with the dates on those files? Is this an older update that I downloaded?

So the upgrade went off without a hitch. I had an issue with Android Auto. It would connect, recognize the phone, then immediately disconnect. Bluetooth was fine. I did a matter reset (probably didn't need to), but ultimately had to remove my truck from Android auto on my phone and allow new connections in the Android Auto app on my phone and added it back without issue. All is well again and it definitely feels smoother.

Which vehicle is that for? That looks to be a v3.0 installer.

I notice you're missing climate controls as well...
