I had used a Valvoline oil change for a truck I used to have. They were extremely professional. The techs were so well in tune with each other, it was neat just to observe. I bought a new car, and started using the dealer because they offered free oil changes for a period as part of the...
I have one of those - but probably a different brand. I've really been pleased with it except for one issue. If I try to set a destination via speaking to it, I always get the response that 'I don't know where you are'.
As many others have said, extended warranties are 'peace of mind' assurance. I've bought a few in my life, really only used it on my 2019 Ranger (bought new). I had the APIM replaced and the transmission rebuilt according to the latest TSB.
They're still around. Many convenience stores have them. Walmart routinely sells 12ct boxes of them, albeit they're the mini's. Occassionally they'll have a 12ct of the larger size. I know because my wife likes them.
Mine has been at the dealer for a week or so. I haven't had a lot of feedback from them. But they say they're applying TSB 25-2134 which I believe is an update of TSB 24-2046. Fingers crossed...
I also have a 2019 Ranger. There are times that I don't think it shifts right, but I don't know if that's just the way it is. I have an 8 year Ford ESP - so other than the deductible, it's under warranty.
If I take it in to have them evaluate it, is it a judgment call that it's not shifting...
I read through all the replies, and realized I'm just not using the Ranger enough. Since it's been colder (20's) for the past week, it's just been more comfortable to use my wife's car. We needed to take about a 2 hour trip this afternoon, so we took the Ranger. Glad to report that it's back...
We're in the process of building a new home, and the one we're currently living in has a small garage, so my Ranger has to stay outside. I've noticed that the passenger door sensor is not working. The battery is newish (06/2023). Is it possible that cold weather is a factor? I should also note...
The only opportunity I ever had to drive a Dakota was around 2007. My truck was in service, and rented a Dodge Dakota. That had to be the "clunkiest" vehicle I ever drove. But to be fair... it was a rental.
We've used Whirlpool appliances for the last 25-30 years. The only issue we had was with a gas cooktop. The ignitors went bad. We had an extended warranty through Home Depot and rather than replace the ignitors, they bought back the cooktop. We replaced it with an electric unit instead...
After looking at all of the work involved, I was OK paying a body shop to repair it for me. No way I could have done that, or had the patience to do it. It was more expensive than I initially thought, but in the end glad to have it done. FWIW parts and labor, $465
I did the same thing, ended up deforming the sheet metal around the mount. I would have been way out of my league on this, so I took it to a body shop to fix.
