A real American Land Yacht. :like:

That rear over hang looks outrageous compared to todays vehicles.:)

At first glance it looks too big and heavy for the Ranger to haul, but at around 4000 pounds and what looks to be an aluminum trailer it is probably is OK. Very curious as to how the Ranger handled it.

I towed an open car trailer with my 2001 Ranger over the entire 18 years that I owned the truck without incident. My 2019 is ostensibly even more capable.

Two salient points....
1] Open trailers are FAR easier to tow than closed box trailers... empty or loaded.

2] Regardless of which light truck is being used for the task....trailer brakes are a MUST for towing a car trailer with a car on board,

That picture with all the color contrast really brings out the beauty of that Velocity Blue.

Great looking truck all loaded up for an adventure.

Is that a starter/generator combo to the right? Looks bigger than the motor. Reminds me of my folks garden tractor.

Nope, Its an ordinary generator, looking larger by contrast with the tiny engine in the tiny car.

I'm hoping that rear overhang helps the thing do wheelies... it's getting the trusty LS swap, twin turbos AND Detroit blower, Ford 9" rear, trans brake.. etc. It's been quite the project but 2022 is the year I drive the damn thing again lol.

The trailer was galvanized IIRC, said it weighed about 2500lbs itself. The ranger had no issue whatsoever hauling the thing.. the super low 1st gear helps a ton.. along with having 9 more gears lol. Truck had no trouble stopping, and had no issue holding 60mph up hills large enough to have the 2nd lane for slower traffic. Got about 13 mpg hauling it.

The new ranger is definitely the perfect "weekend warrior" type tow rig.

This is a view of my new Ranger sitting in front of the Winnebago we will tow with it. The white with black accents looks great with the Winnie. Trailer weighs 3500 lbs and I love that it has two axles with 16 inch wheels.

We are still only 150 miles on the odo. Need 1000 to start towing. Got the Blue Ox hitch set up yesterday. Hope to get my trailer brake controller installed soon. I will comment later on mileage, etc.
