in my experience for most drivers, AWD will do better in snow than 4WD. I love my 4wd Ranger, but the wifes AWD Subaru does better in snow (until the snow is deeper than the frame)

that makes sense, wasn't even thinking about the 2WD models. Also, most of my driving is interstate, some I'm running between 75-77 mph.. It does improve quite a bit when you knock it down to 60MPH on 2 lane roads.
So do the plastic wheels hold all the weight? I don't understand how that would hold up, or is it meant to sink to the bottom of the jack on the dirt/ground so the wheels don't take the load?
