I place my jack under the bottom of the shock and lifted it up enough to slide the bolt through...
I used my jack as well, and found it easiest to go boot down. I hand tightened the top bolt (closest to bed) and jacked the shock right on in to the lower mount. It popped in and was able to stay compressed without the bolt even in, so I had to use a screwdriver through the eyelit to manuever it into alignment with the holes so I could slide the bolt through. They are monotube shocks so it really doesn't matter which way they are oriented. Hope you get it sorted.stupid question... the boot part goes up right? fat part to the bottom?
