Just received my Bilstein 5100 rear shocks and installing today!

Do I need to do an alignment after doing the rear shocks?

I've had Eibach rears and Fox 2.0 full. To me the Eibachs feel better suited for the street and the Fox better suited for the dirt. Not to say there aren't individual preferences, but that's my take on those 2.

The stock shocks are 'budget busters' Ford chose to install for unfathomable reasons. Buy a matched set for all four corners. You have struts in the front so the install will be labor intensive and require a 4 wheel alignment afterwards.

I just had Bilstein 4600s installed - HUGE improvement. $985 total out of pocket for what should be a warranty issue. Bought the struts from one vendor and the rears from another vendor - just received a refund from the first vendor for the rears that never arrived. Stock image.

So the 4600s would be a regular type shock good for street vs 5100s..?

Incorrect sir. The valving is the same between the two, the 5100's just have heigh adjustment available in the front as for the 4600 not so much

Understood... So if you want to level the front... Get the 5100s ?

So I went to the garage to start the install and one of the bolts at for the bottom mount just spins.
I guess it wasn't seated properly in the channel to allow it to loosen.

Do I just need to get another 15mm and ratchet for the other side and hold while loosening the main side?

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps

Ya, I experienced this when tightening. Just jam a big ass flat screwdriver in there while ratcheting. That should hold it in place. Do the same when putting them back on.

Wow that install was veryyyy simple. I'm not a noob by any means but not an expert either with cars.
I took it around my neighborhood and it feels sooo much better. Doesn't feel like a small boat in big waves anymore.
And I was getting a nasty clunking noise when I would go over bumps and this seems to have solved that issue as well.
