Tire Size Fitment Master Thread

Blumpkin, huh? Great maneuver! State of Maine is obviously oblivious to its meaning

For the past handful of years (up until this year) the state was considering vanity plates as freedom of speech... so you'd literally see plates around that say FUCKYOU and SHITASS and whatever else ? then enough people who don't like fun complained and the state changed the policy.

I've had this one for the past.. 11 or 12 years.

Have to buy new tires for my slide in camper that is coming soon. Hoping to go with the pizza cutter 255 / 80 / r17 falken wildpeaks. My hope is that skinny tires will be lighter, provide better traction in variable conditions, and the extra sidewall will add to ride comfort.

Can anyone confirm if there is rubbing without modifying crashbars or adding leveling kit? I am planning to mount them on 17" steel bronco take off wheels

@Nopalito runs them with Fox 2.0 lift in the front (leveled) and OE steelies. I don't think he rubs on the crash bars.

255/80/17s are 33s and probably won’t fit without a lift. I bought the scalloped crash front bars but one didn’t fit so I took out the fronts. Don’t rub on the rears.

I absolutely love the skinnies and don’t want to go back to a “wider” tire.

I have heard here 255/75/17 is the biggest without rubbing. 80 may rub.

From my understanding. I have 255/75/17 sitting to be put on my truck. Waiting for stock tires to wear out.

255/80/17s are 33s and probably won’t fit without a lift. I bought the scalloped crash front bars but one didn’t fit so I took out the fronts. Don’t rub on the rears.

I absolutely love the skinnies and don’t want to go back to a “wider” tire.

Are you saying the tires didn't fit even with aftermarket crash bars or you had an issue with installing one of the crash bars?

After market crash bars didn’t fit into one of the oem brackets. Not sure if it was full of mud or bent but just didn’t fit.

Thanks for clarifying! I'm thinking about going with the same tire size as you. I've got it leveled. No issues with rubbing anywhere? Those steelies are stock with the +55 offset correct?

Yup! Stock oem steelies with +55. No rubbing anywhere with front crash bars out. I take it all over CO and haven’t rubbed on any trails or driving around the city.

Thanks for the info and ice looking truck! I'm in AZ but hoping to get up to CO this summer and do some wheeling and camping. Maybe I'll see you out on the trails!

I bought the tires, and bought a 2022 xlt fx2 the same month!
So i have to wear out new tires to get these on. I like the height and dont like wide tires. These do just what i need off road. As soon as i get em on ill let everyone here know how the fitment is.

Based on my limited knowledge, and a few posts on here, it does seem these will fit with no modifications. Definitely interested in your results!

Is it possible to install Nitto grapplers 285/70r17 on stock wheels and 2.5 level kit, without removing the crash bars?
