Hi all! I've spent a couple hours now searching for a good answer, but I'm afraid I may have just confused myself further. I've got a 2019 FX4 with the Ford 2.0 Fox leveling kit and I just picked up a set of the Bronco Sasquatch rims (17 x 8.5 with +30mm offset). Looks like other folks here have no problem fitting the rims, but my question relates to tire size I can move up to; I'm still running the stock Hankook's at the moment.
I really like the look of the 285/70/R17's, but I worry the 30mm offset won't be enough to clear the spindle when aired down. I know I'll get a bit more clearance with the Sasquatch offset being +30mm over the stock +55, but is that enough? I'm also unsure if I'd need to remove the crash bars and replace with something like these: https://www.stage3motorsports.com/67-2900-19-22-ranger-readylift-high-clearance-intrusion-beams.html - to be honest, I don't think I have the tools to cut them and taking the bumper off sounds like a PITA.
Would appreciate any advice I can get.. Can I run 285s with this set-up? Or should I run something a bit smaller? I've never sized up a tire before either, should I also be getting a bigger spare or is the stock 265/65 sufficient in a pinch?
