Anyone here try a 285/75/17 on aftermarket wheels? Looks like its 1" taller than a 265/70/17 and that tire on my 3" lift has plenty of room to spare.
It's usually the inside where you get rubbing with the stock wheels, since they're a very positive offset. You'll probably need spacers if you want everything to fit correctly.

I have LT-275/70R17 BFG KO2's mounted on the Stock Sport Wheels with the Ready Lift 3" Level Kit. I have had no rubbing issues at all, therefore no further modification was necessary.

He was talking about a 285/75R17, which is roughly 1.5" bigger than a 275/70R17.

Understood. I was just trying to be helpful and post up what I have and my personal experience. This thread is "Tire Size Master Thread", right? Should I have posted differently/elsewhere?
I'm new to this stuff.

I get mine mounted up Tuesday. My truck is 2wd with 3" level. I hope there's no rubbing because those 255s are close on the inside sidewall. Maybe 1/2" clearance. 275s are .8 wider so hopefully I get at least an 1/8" clearance.

I've seen reading though all the threads on stock truck height a +25 offset would not clear crash bars for 265/70R17 tires, has anyone tried a 35+ offset? Wonder if that would change it just enough to clear?

I am digging the way these tires look with the sport rims. I have the Fox leveling kit and will probably go this route. Thanks for the pic!

I think ill take a chance and order a set of 285/75/17's on a set of icon wheels in a month or so. Ill report back if they fit, ill do the modded crash bars and probably keep the front at 3" and the rear lift at 1".

I have been looking every where on here to see if anyone has run the 285/75/17's with Icon Suspension / Icon Wheel Combo.
I think the offset on the wheels will be a big factor in fitting the wheels. I currently have the Icon Compression's with 25mm offset and 5.75" backspace, what offset are you planning on running?

I don’t have my icon wheels yet. What size tires do you have on your wheels? Can you take some measurements and see if a 285/75/17 will clear the spindle with that offset/backspace? I’m pretty sure the tire will clear the fender under normal driving but might not under full compression.

I don't have anything installed yet. I am still waiting for the rear shocks to be delivered from Icon and then was going to order the tires when I schedule the installation. I want to run 285/75/17, but if I can't find a way to fit them with Icon Compression wheels, then I will end up going with 285/70/17.

If the 6MM or 0MM offset wheels make it work, I will probably end up returning the 25MM. Let me know what you get, I probably won't install anything until March.

Ahh okay we are in the same boat then. I’ll see if Icon is willing to answer some questions on fitment since they have a 3D scan of the wheel well.
