Think 3.4.23188 is it but there is new Nav Maps. I downloaded them a couple weeks ago.Does any one know if Ford still does updates to Sync 3? SYNC 3.4.23188 seems to be the last update and been a while since one has been pushed out.
It took Ford a number of updates to finally come up with one that works well and is stable. I doubt that any more updates for Sync 3 will be coming.Does any one know if Ford still does updates to Sync 3? SYNC 3.4.23188 seems to be the last update and been a while since one has been pushed out.
According to Ford Sync 3 is still an active system. My question would be with all the phones and apps changing and updating that there would be bug fixes at least once a year. But from the sounds of it, guess not. I just know on Sync 2 MFT they were updating it at least once a year till they did the EOL on it when they went to Sync 3 and got away from Microsoft.3 or 4 years and we are at EOL end of life now?
It will be NA 2.24; they are always 1 year behind.FYI: I returned from running the "full" update of Sync OS and Maps. I was on 3.4.23188 and maps NA 2 20.
Now still on 3.4.23188 and maps NA 2 25 (or 24, did not take a photo of the version screen this time... will soon to be sure).
Took about an hour for it all to update... can't turn the Ranger off during the update or it starts from the beginning again.... nice day for a drive though...
You don't have to run your engine to do the updates. You can put a 10 amp charger on the battery and put the truck in accessary mode. Go in the dash menus and turn off auto stop (not to be confused with auto start-stop) so the accessary mode doesn't time out. You will be able to do the updates without running the engine.FYI: I returned from running the "full" update of Sync OS and Maps. I was on 3.4.23188 and maps NA 2 20.

Ahhh, that is good to know! Thanks. You don't have to run your engine to do the updates. You can put a 10 amp charger on the battery and put the truck in accessary mode. Although true - you still have to cycle the key off, to allow the system reboots it requires, so it’s still required interaction to complete, so yes you are saving fuel but not time.Ahhh, that is good to know! Thanks.
So it's not just rebooting Sync, which it did while I was still driving without interaction with me. When turn off auto stop (not to be confused with auto start-stop) is done, that is just for Sync and not the rest of the "stuff" that turns on when I press the Start/Stop without stepping on the brake pedal??Although true - you still have to cycle the key off, to allow the system reboots it requires, so it’s still required interaction to complete, so yes you are saving fuel but not time.
