Never got an email from no-reply@alom. Ford says the file is large for sure and that's why they'll only mail a USB.

I guess that's what makes workarounds like what is on Cyanlabs so attractive.
Whoever told you it’s only a purchased USB was wrong. You should have a download option or hook it up to Wi-Fi and it should pull down the new map data that way, though that’ll take longer.

There would be less confusion and frustration if the website download option was not removed after the email is sent out.

I followed the instructions to a tee and was unable to get the latest map upgrades to download in my Sync. I even took it to the dealer. They only had 1 guy that knows any electronics issues and he couldn’t get it to work either. ??‍♂

Yeah, that one is probably on ALOM. I wish they didn't do that.
I went through my emails and nothing from them on this.

Nope. No options for WiFi.

I got the update for maps via cyan labs.

Cyan labs download not for 2020 vehicles. It will ruin the sync he says.

I didn't think map updates ever came over wifi.

I think the 2020's were by and large up to date?

Yes, except there’s a map update I have but am unable to get it uploaded in my truck. ??‍♂

Just checked mine. Already latest but when I checked, kept saying the esn was invalid even though it was correct. Tried other to be sure and it was invalid. So no idea with that.
Sad part is I had this prob with my Fusion and went through a couple map updates. Its BS because roads that were there for years where never corrected nor were new ones that were there for years were never added. While they may update them somewhat, for the individual it would be like poke and hope. I mentioned in another thread that the only company I really seen did updates that actually showed was Garmin... Ford should take lessons from real people involved in cartology....... they were $70 a pop back then....
