lol I had forgot about that one. It's so big and heavy it can also double as a weapon. :ninja:
Maybe for you! But I have a damper, no way I could wield this thing!

Always stays in. It has saved me twice from damage being rear ended. One time my truck received slight damage years ago. But the guy who fled was found by the police not far away. Hitch took out his radiator and transmission cooler.

I take mine out because guaranteed I’d would bust my shins on it every day. Also I don’t like how it looks when they’re left in, but that’s just me.

I haven’t hit my shins on a hitch in a long time. I think pushing buggies when I was in high school gave me anti hitch radar. After you smoke the same shin a few times in the same week it changes you?

Mine stays in pretty much all the time. I've heard of places where it's illegal to do so, but Kentucky doesn't care. I remove it if I'm driving out of state just in case.

When I was in college (circa 2000) a friend of mine had a lifted S-10 ZR2 that he used for rock crawling. He'd brake check people who tailgated him. I'm not sure how many cars' radiators he took out, but it was more than a few. The hitch was just the right height to miss the bumper to punch a hole straight through most cars' grills.

years ago in my 98 Ranger, I got rear-ended in construction traffic by some chick sniffing her armpits (I was already keeping an eye on her because I saw her stupidly creeping up when traffic was going nowhere). My receiver punched a square-sized hole in her bumper and when the cop showed up (I called him out of spite, honestly), she tried to weasel her way out of it by saying that the square hole in her bumper that lined up perfectly with my receiver was from "a different time" she rear-ended someone. wrong answer. she was from a different state, so I'm sure the cop very much enjoyed writing her a citation.

Really want to keep tailgaters away....maybe you could adapt something like this to your rear receiver....
Would also double to let you know when you've backed up enough...
