It should be noted that underneath that bump step - it is honeycombed... so it colapses and then bounces back out when hit. When that happens, it breaks some of the plastic criss-crossed stuff there... The third time I got hit it finally destroyed it and I bought a new one... I cant recommend these enough.

Haemoglobin A1c measures the relative (%) or absolute amount (mM/Mol) of Glycated Haemoglobin in a persons blood. Haemoglobin is the O2 carrying protein in red cells. When a red cell is formed, glucose can attach to a lysine residue in the Hb molecule. As this changes the physical structure of the Hb, it makes the glycated portion separable and measurable. As the average life of a red cell is ~120 days, by measuring the HbA1c you have a window into the average blood glucose over the last 3-4 months, which a random blood glucose does not give you.
This process can be reversible or irreversible so it's not quite that simple, but that is the basis of it.

Sounds like fun - when I lived in New Brunswick, we would head to Fundy with our longer travel bikes and shuttle to the top of the trail - my 2001 Ranger, a Dakota and a Frontier. You might also find some nice riding at Ski Wentworth in Nova Scotia and if you go across the Confederation Bridge to PEI, there’s good cross-country riding at Brookvale Park.

I think we've got pretty full plans, but thanks for the recommendations. We've got a whale watching tour booked out of St. Andrews, we're going to watch the tides and walk out onto the seafloor at low tide at Hopewell Rocks, do a little bit of mountain biking, and do a bit of hiking and wildlife watching if we can.

Going farther afield, I think, is going to need to involve a longer trip than what we're dedicating to this one.

Yeah, when you have more time, there’s a great loop that takes in NB, NS, and PEI. It involes a ferry ride across the Bay of Fundy, includes the Cabot Trail the Alexander Graham Bell museum (a must see and who the heck knew?) on Cape Breton, another ferry to PEI, followed by leaving PEI via the Confederation Bridge. It definitely requires a week or two but I think you’ve already got some great plans for your short trip and Hopewell Rocks is pretty cool. There’s one rock there called ET Rock - you’ll know it when you see it.

Take lots of bug spray! Have a great trip.

I always have this step in when not towing. Makes it easy to climb in the Bed and is a nice tie down point. There is one good chip in the powder coat so I know it protected my bumper atleast once. Helps level the truck also ?.

I don't leave my drop hitch in, primarily because I do not tow enough to make it worth it.

But also, I would probably smash my shins into it everytime I walk behind the truck . . .

Even when I know the receivers in, I can’t even tell you how many times I will still bash my shin into it

That looks like a pretty awesome loop. Will have to consider that as a way to include Cape Breton Island, because that's already on the list for a future trip. From what I've managed to research, our little camper would be fairly easily accommodated on the ferries.

I've got 3 cans of deet and a bottle of oil of lemon eucalyptus lotion repellent in the camper already. could include more if you think it might be necessary.

Yeah you could use in water crossings when you loose traction.

I was rear ended by some stupid kid, while I had my hitch receiver recovery point installed on a stock height/stock rear bumper Ranger. He hit me at probably 10-15 mph while I was stopped at a light. No damage to the Ranger, but the recovery point penetrated the radiator on his mom's Infiniti, completely disabling that vehicle. He asked me what he should do, I told him that was his problem, and drove off.

I was rear ended on July 1st....stop and go beach traffic at a backed up red light.

The lady popped me pretty good. When I got out and walked around to look, I was completely expecting to see my bumper shattered and tailgate crumpled, but nope. The trailer hitch took 99% of the hit. I had a minor scuff on my bumper, that's it. Her car wasn't disabled....my receiver hit a metal support which saved it from smashing the radiator.

She didn't cream me, but like I said....it was a solid pop. There's no doubt the hitch/receiver saved me from a huge hassle and damages. Ironically, I had been meaning to take it out for several days prior.....now, I don't think I'll ever take it out.

Why?

Because EVERY SINGLE TIME I brush up against the ball, that has some super sticky trailer ball grease on it and it gets on my f-ing shorts.

Was looking at these today. How much do they weigh? I see there is 24" version as well. The standard size is listed on their website as on sale for 49.95.
