When it goes back in to install the parts they forgot... make them include the TBC for the inconvenience..... at least, thats what I'd try and do

Yeah not on the window sticker and that had updated several times since I first saw it in April. Is it on the window sticker? I'm curious whether this was a mistake by the factory or the dealer.
FYI all the components of the tow package (the receiver and the 7-pin connector) can be added by the dealer, so this should be pretty easy to resolve once the dealer admits a mistake has been made.
Do you have the tow/haul mode button on the console? Sounds like to get the full tow package they'll have to swap out the bumper and maybe added some wiring.Yeah not on the window sticker and that had updated several times since I first saw it in April.
But I do recall my salesman checking that box for the tow package. Hard to say.
Hopefully an easy thing to rectify.
IIRC, it depends on your trim level. XL does not (which I can confirm for my 2019), but XLT and Lariat do.Does the non-tow package have the pre-wiring under the dash for the EBC?
The tow/haul mode button and functionality is standard on all models, regardless of whether or not the truck is equipped with the tow package.Do you have the tow/haul mode button on the console? Sounds like to get the full tow package they'll have to swap out the bumper and maybe added some wiring.

Yup, accidentally pressed it last night while trying to engage trail control ?Do you have the tow/haul mode button on the console? Sounds like to get the full tow package they'll have to swap out the bumper and maybe added some wiring.

I'll probably never tow over 6000 lb, but nonetheless I installed the Draw-tite (7500 lb limit) since there's a chance I'm wrong about that and I don't want to forget that I installed a hitch with a lower rating than the truck itself. My xl truck didn't have the under dash wires for a brake controller. Adding the seven pin at the back is easy with the harness from Etrailer. Added the brake controller wiring and trailer charge wire are another story.
If a truck needs all the wires ran its a four hour job(at 160/hr plus parts) at my camping world store.
If you add the tow receiver hitch make sure you get one thats rated for the truck's 7,500lb tow capacity and not the 6,000lb one thats on my truck.![]()
Correct. OEM towing limit is 3500 on the bumper or 7500 on the hitch receiver that comes with the tow package. If you install an aftermarket receiver, the tow limit will depend on that receiver, up to the 7500 lb the truck is rated for. The limit for the Curt is 6000 lb, whereas the Draw-tite limit is 7500 lb.6000# is not OEM Ford is it? I think ford only has 2 Tow packages, the one OP has which comes on all rangers and the receiver 7500# option.

Do you have a copy of that sales order?Yeah not on the window sticker and that had updated several times since I first saw it in April.

Don't worry about that, no harm done. In fact, I usually drive with tow engaged when not towing to benefit from the adjustments to shift points.Yup, accidentally pressed it last night while trying to engage trail control ?
