I was frustrated with the ford pass app and remote start. Went to 12voltsolutions and got a remote start. Plugged in behind the OBD port and 20 seconds of programming and done. Works very well.
Same here. Now I would often get that message about the ruck going to sleep (I know I'm boring, but my own Soupie?!?).

The CTEK tender solved 90% of that and I also got the Start-X and use that one daily. It's faster but you also have to be pretty close - but it works!

Check that your truck's not going to sleep, if it does, you should have messages in the Ford app saying that.

Good luck and consider that Start-X, not too expensive and incredibly easy to install.

EDIT: LOL, I must have turned into Scooby Doo talking about my "ruck" =D

I would honestly do two things, disconnect battery for a few minutes and also check state of charge of battery. I installed Start-X a while back and it’s been flawless. One of the best purchases I’ve made for my truck.

I agree with @MountainGoat I think battery level would be the next place I look before going through the hassle of deleting and reconnecting everything. I've read multiple people on these boards have App connectivity issues due to the battery being below a certain threshold. I believe 70-80%. There is a thread on updating the charging threshold from 70% minimum with ForScan but I don't even own one of those so you'll have to go to others for that information!

I read about people having issues starting the vehicle with the app, but I use it every time I start the truck and have yet to have any issues. That said, I did recently buy the upgraded security with the remote start function. Seems easier to use a key fob.

9zero1790 is the winner. It was a system setting controlled by steering wheel buttons. Guess I goofed it up playing with a new truck. Thanks to all that replied. That is why I am on these boards, so much knowledge to share. Thanks again. I will post how to get to it tomorrow

Just another incredibly super average dude
1) Step one: Open up Ford Pass App
2) Step two: Light hair on fire.
3) Step three: Put out fire with hammer while simultaneously punching yourself in the nuts...

Paul Pelosi forgot the "light hair on fire" part.

When my wife got her Jeep, I took it to work with me, and in near dark conditions I started playing with buttons, then I hear over the speaker (Dialing 911), panicked trying to stop the call, ended up in a 2-minute conversation to confirm I was ok and not in any danger and just hit the (RED) button being a man with a new vehicle, she understood

I remote start my ‘22 Ranger Lariat with my keyfob only. The range is very good. I’m in the back of my house and the truck is in the driveway. Tap the lock followed by two quick taps on the 2x button below it. Look for a green or red light at the top of the keyfob. It only works with vehicles that have push button start.
