  1. Replace Air Dam with OEM Skid Plate

You can install the skid with the full air dam, it's a little tight to get it on but is possible. I installed the full air dam on my fx4, I ended up trimming the dam and leaving my fx4 mini dams on too.
  2. Browsing on eBay and found this......

Thanks, they have a lot of models to pick from! Think I'm going to get this one since it's a hollow shell, now I'll just have to track down some hot pepper metallic paint for it!
  3. Browsing on eBay and found this......

Where did you buy the model you have? I've been looking for a 1/10 scale body to throw on one of my rc crawler chassis but haven't had much luck. At this point it looks like I just need to find a model and print it myself.
  4. Tremors and high octane fuel

That is a good point, since I've owned my truck I've only driven about 10 miles with the tonneau cover open. I'm basically running the same setup as you except I have 265/70 r17 tires which are about 31.6 inches vs 33's.
  5. Tremors and high octane fuel

Took me a while to figure out how my wife is able to get 16mpg in our 4-cylinder Camry, after a lot of head scratching, I noticed she left foot brakes and I would guess she is dragging the brakes while accelerating. Never said anything about it because her commute is 9 miles round trip.
  6. Tremors and high octane fuel

I won't speak to the difference in mileage but I'm a little shocked so many of you can't even break 20mpg. Driving like a complete ass hole I can easily average 20mpg, I commute in Massachusetts traffic where you're frequently reaching speed of 90+ then slowing down to a crawl and back up to...
  7. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

@DirkM already makes exactly what you're talking about.
  8. 19-23 Ranger In-Console Phone Docking System [New Release]

I've been using the MagSafe dock that DirkM from this forum makes in combination with a wireless CarPlay adapter for a year and a half now and I couldn't see myself switching to this. I use my phone for gauges while driving and with this I wouldn't be able to see it. I also don't like that if...
  9. Truck did not start (didn't recognize fob) - too cold?

Glad I could help! Hahaha Thats definitely a new one. I've had a key not present warning with the key in my pocket and a semi low battery, you might need a battery in a few weeks/months.
  10. Truck did not start (didn't recognize fob) - too cold?

If you have the push to start key try placing it in the cup holder and see if the truck starts. This is detailed in the owners manual. If the truck starts then you have a dead battery in the FOB.
  11. Use a come-along for off road recovery?

Have you looked at the Superwinch Winch2go? I've been looking into them since I don't want to permanently mount a winch on my truck as the New England winters will probably rust one up solid in a year or two. They have 4000lbs straight pull capacity or 8000 with the included snatch block, it...
  12. Question for anyone who installed the JL Audio Stealthbox

I added 10 square feet of sound deadening into the area which was a huge improvement. The only thing I could see is the fastener is to help improve rigidity of the box which will help with the accuracy of the bass.
  13. Question for anyone who installed the JL Audio Stealthbox

The JL box has a threaded hole in the bottom of the box, the instructions say to drill a hole through the floor pan, install a stud into the box then install a nut from underneath the truck. Considering I live in the northeast thats just a recipe for rust. If people say it provides an...
  14. Question for anyone who installed the JL Audio Stealthbox

I installed the JL Audio Stealthbox this weekend and I was wondering if anyone tried it before completing the step where they tell you to drill a hole in the floor of the truck to install the included stud and nut. I'm wondering if installing the stud to hold down the box actually makes a...
  15. Lariat B&O Full System Upgrade

I got my stealthbox today it sounds great but I did skip the step where they tell you to drill through the floor for the mounting bolt. Did you do that? I'm wonder how necessary that bolt really is.
  16. Tire Survey

I swapped my hankooks with factory 18's for 265/70r17 bfg ko2's and a used set of the black 17's( HOL.10230-BBB-GLOSS-A-OW). I wanted to wait for the ko3's but I needed tires. Overall its a decent improvement in comfort and I can air down more while offroading now.
  17. Garmin Wireless PowerSwitch

Yeah that's pretty steep, I do like that the trigger switch includes a wireless switch panel so you can use it without a phone too. I'd probably go for the 4 switch since I just want a front light bar and some lights on the back for camping.
  18. Garmin Wireless PowerSwitch

I was looking at the trigger controller which is pretty similar and a bit cheaper if you don't care about the carplay/android auto integration. https://triggercontroller.com/
  19. Portable compressor for airing up them tires

I got an open box Viair 450p off amazon for $230 and I love it. The biggest thing to look at is duty cycle and your intended use, the 88p has a 40% duty cycle at 30psi meaning you can inflate for about 25 minutes then you need to let it cool for 35 minutes. Obviously, you can push it harder but...
  20. Non FX4 Air Dam on FX4

Yeah I know, it will only take me about 20 minutes to remove it for offroading but for the 95% of its life spent commuting make it worth it to pick up any mpg I can.
