Finally got some snow up here in the Northern Virginia. Ranger did great!! First time using it in 4wd and I have to say, Im really impressed with snow mode as well. Definitely keeps the truck in control, although, 2wd with traction off is still more fun ;)

I have barely driven my Ranger the last month. I drove it last week and it was quite cold and it came back almost as clean as when I left. Today, it got coated with salt, mud and snow. Fortunately my Buddy five doors down had just power washed his truck as he had also been out today, so I was able to get it power washed cleaned.

In the two pictures you can see how much snow we have. I would say we only have about half as much as we usually get. There is a bunch more snow coming in the next week.

So far, the Ranger has been excellent in the snow. I do have about 200 lbs of weight over the rear wheels. The only fail was a predestined one, when I went up a pure ice hill in 2Hi.

Since I have found I like the weigh over the rear wheels, next year I will look at alternative sources of weight. Maybe pieces of metal that can also act as a divider.

This photo was taken at an event we attended this past winter and will again this weekend. Our ranger was parked at the bottom of this ski flying hill. These are larger than ski jumps. This is the Snow cat Clowder

That's our mutt in the center photo. Dogs and kids, what a mix  More photos taken this day can be had on there blog.

Finally got up to the cottage to check the snow load. Was hoping for lots of lake effect snow but it was a bit lame. Still, it was enough to use snowshoes.

Classic Northern Minnesota winter "storm". A few inches of snow today, a lot of wind and blowing snow. Followed by cold temps following quickly through the weekend, which means the snow falling now will freeze solid in place and cause snowy/icy roads for quite a while. High temp on Sunday is -5F. Lows will be down near -20F, with windchills down near -45F.

Also, do I get bonus points for posting a picture of the 3G Ranger in the snow driving in front of me? haha

This is for all those who wash and detail and clean their trucks every week. haha At least for the next few days they won't be putting anymore salt on the roads, because it'll be too cold for it to work. haha So there's that.

Yeah, ID salts the shit out of the highways too. Magnetic shows the salt but not like that!

I live in upstate NY and am a new Ranger owner. We have had two snow storms since I got it, one of which happened while I was at work about 45 minutes away. The Ranger performed very well using TM snow selection, I was very impressed. This is my first Ford and I am loving it.

We might get up to 20” of snow by the end of tomorrow with more to come. 15” is more likely, it all depends on the lake effect snow. It is really blowing out right now, with waves of snow being blown across the lake. The Ranger is snug as a bug in the garage, but I am get a chance to get some pictures of it in the snow on the weekend. The winds had calmed down when I took the picture, but there was lots of blowing snow in the distance.
