So far we have only received about 13” (32 cms) of snow. Today we were supposed to get clobbered by lake effect snow, but it has been more miss than hit, but that can change quickly.

I did get out out on some of the local plowed cottage roads. No pictures will make the cover of National Geographic.

On the first two pictures, the second picture was taken about 5 seconds after the first one, to give you an example of the blowing snow.

Yep, where you live, you say "only 13" of snow". Where I live, we say "over a foot of snow". ?

We've been receiving snow continuously for about 4 days now. Top photo is what our sun looks like, when a NW wind is pushing moisture in off the BIG lake.

You guys seem to like these, so more static Rangers in snow. Still snowing here and NOAA's 5 day forecast for us is 100% chance for more. (most days have us 100% anyway)

So we did get another 7” for a total of approximately 20” (50 cms). Lots of snow on the ground now.

I plow all of the snow in my parking areas into a deep gully. Over the course of the winter, I make a snow bridge to the other side. The last two years I was able to touch a tree on the far side. It wasn’t looking good to do it again this year, but now it looks possible again.

Been snowing continuously here since Wednesday or Thursday now. Not sure when it started or how much we have received.... NOAA says it might end over the weekend.

In the 1st photo you can see our morning sun.

2nd is our yard which is a snow dump. In it the square looking pile is the roof of a bush protector.

Last two is our credit unoin and Walgreens... Hope you like them!

So today I drove to town. I rarely go there during our lockdown period, but eventually you have to go get groceries, etc. On the way it was sunny. As I stopped at the grocery store, a snow squall moved in, off of Georgian Bay. I was only in the store for a few minutes, but when I got back to the truck it was coated with snow. When I started it, the sensors went off for the first time ever for me. Having read what to do, I quickly pushed the button with the P on it and they stopped.

The roads now were far slippery than before, so I put the Ranger in 4Hi.

I drove home in near white out conditions, until I turned north and quickly cut out of the squall. It followed me though and lots of snow falling now.

The Ranger did well in all of the conditions.

In the second picture, the red arrow is pointing the direction of the snow squall (streamers). It can keep an area in heavy snowfall for hours when it lines up with the area.

Nice to know ranger5g members had a hand in getting Gary home. Membership has its privileges.

took my buddy for our daily walk, plus looked for a spot to try out the 4wd on "Jake".
found this dirt road on the hill with a few tracks , we walked it first to see if it was open all the way .
drove as far as possible in 2 wd to check the performance of these Bridgestone tires. went almost 100 yards before traction was completely lost. made the switch to 4wd & off we went :like:
