  1. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

Goodness knows I loved my Ranger. The Forester Wilderness exceeded my expectations. It is very capable and I likely will never truly test it, but it drives much better than expected. It will not do truck things, you need a truck for that, but for 95%+ of what I do now, the Wilderness will meet...
  2. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

I now have my new vehicle and love it, but I sigh a little bit when I see a Ranger on the road. I just wanted to share a few things that I added on and really liked. The bed extender I got right away. I cannot say how many times it came in use, mostly when it was inside the bed to contain...

Thanks for the tips, I will pick up some tomorrow.
  4. Lettering done - what a pain

Thanks, they are removed. No underlying rust. I still have to remove some of the glue, but I am boiling sap right now so that will be a tomorrow’s job. Any suggestion on how to remove the glue without harming the paint?
  5. Lettering done - what a pain

My stainless steel lettering is showing signs of rust at the edges. Any suggestions on how to clean it? If I want to remove them, is it just a case of heating them up with a hairdryer blower and picking an edge and peeling them off?

Ppfd “. And they are pretty popular here in this liberal enclave she lives in.” lol, I never thought of them in the political perspective! ?
  7. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

I will be getting the extended warranty as well. As much as they can be very reliable, when they are not,it can get pricey as you say. I will be talking to my insurance company in a couple weeks and it will be interesting to see if my rates change. We live in an area with fairly low insurance...
  8. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

Consumer Reports ranks them #1 in their category, and a lot of the old oil leak, head gasket problems are long gone. I did not post to promote or defend the Subaru, just more to say that I am trading in my Ranger that I still love and was good to me, problem free. Priorities change and it is...
  9. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

The Wildness is already ordered and on its way. This is a long video, but if you skip to the log climbing test, you can see how the Subaru symmetrical AWD system is so much superior than most other vehicles. in showing this, I am not comparing the Wilderness to the Ranger, I loved my Ranger...
  10. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

The Wilderness Approach angle is: 23.5 degrees (my Ranger 28.7°) Departure angle: is 25.4 degrees (my Ranger is 25.4°). The Wilderness approach angles are better than the regular Forester and has a much shorter nose than the Outback.
  11. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

The regular Forester can tow 1500 lbs, the Wilderness model can tow 3000 lbs. I originally did a typo and said 3500 lbs and I have corrected that. The Wilderness also has more ground clearance than the regular Forester. The Wilderness has 9.2” of ground clearance.
  12. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

lol, agreed it is not sexy looking, it‘s very capable.
  13. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

The one funny thing is when I first picked up my Ranger truck, I connected my iPhone with a usb cable, Apple Car Play came on and I could not figure out how to get regular radio on and at the time I preferred the Ranger’s navigation system on it and never used Apple Car Play much after that...
  14. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

I am actually getting good value for my truck, when you consider that it saves a lot of tax with the trade in. I am not that far off what I paid for it.
  15. I love my Ranger, but I am trading it in.

I love my 2020 Ford Ranger XLT. It has been trouble free, and has hauled a lot of material for me. We decided to become a one vehicle family and go on some longer road vacations and the truck was not the right vehicle for that and was not my wife’s first choice for a sole vehicle. We have less...
  16. Which power source do you suggest I use to power this 12v submersible pump?

I found a connector that plugs into the power port that has a 12’ cable with a quick connect end on the other end that can connect to other quick connect cables and a quick connect on/off switch. I just need the door slightly ajar to let the cable out. It will work just fine. Thanks for the...
  17. Which power source do you suggest I use to power this 12v submersible pump?

That is a sweet kit, unfortunately it is sold out and will not be back in stock until May. I need a solution for February. i think that tells me thought that I could use the 12v power port.
  18. Which power source do you suggest I use to power this 12v submersible pump?

I am going to use a 12 volt submersible pump to pump sap from my collection barrels to my transfer tanks. I was going to use my ATV with quick connects wires to do it, but using my ATV limited how much capacity I can carry. it struck me I could put two 55 gallon barrels in the back of the...
