Just want to put a shout out to Redline for taking the time to help us Ranger owners remedy this :clap:I have not taken delivery of mine...yet, but I definitely will be interested when the time/funds permit. Been lurking on the forum for a few months now while patiently waiting for my truck. Amazing how some things FORD has done a good job on, and other things they (or their vendors) have really dropped the ball on. Nice to know that I personally could take care of this with a better made product, and most importantly, avoid the risks associated with visiting the dealer service department. Again, kudos Redline.

Hey moderator! How about getting these guys into the forum as a R5G sponsored/approved vendor?? Just sayin.;)

It's definitely a nice piece and the fit was spot on.

Any vendor can join the forum, it is a paid membership but IIRC it's not all that much. You could reach out to them and tell them there's a lot of interest in their products and see if they'd be interested in joining. Have them contact the Admin and he can forward them all the vendor info.

Ordered mine yesterday. Anyone interested in me producing an install video when mine finally arrives?
I don't think anyone will turn down an install vid! I just received mine today as well. Will see when time permits to install it.

SO I noticed this morning that my boot has a small tear in it - anyone have a fix for it?? Or did you just buy a new boot?

It's a very common issue.

Mine has been replaced twice under warranty.

The factory boot cracked pretty soon so the dealer replaced it with what seemed to be a better breed of Nauga.

The new Naugahide boot cracked also in the exact same spot.

They replaced it again since it is still under 3/36 but I went ahead and ordered the Redline boot and I'm going to try and install it this weekend.

The Redline boot is real leather and is light years better than the Pleather from Ford.

$40 if you use the discount code they'll give you when you sign up for email.

Is this boot more flexible? My issue is that in the winter, the oem one is so stiff I have to hold it down a minute or so to prevent the parking brake light from coming on. While it is warm again in Vegas, it reminded me when it did it the other morning again.

Just another one of those mods I am doing to fix something Ford should have done I guess. It is weird how much I love this truck that I can look past some of these little issues.

This boot is genuine leather and is far more pliable than the naugahyde garbage that the factory boot is made of.

I have no experience with it in cold weather but I think it will be fine.

It's very nicely made.

Mine should be here in a week or so. Hoping someone is kind enough to do an install video. I know installation sounds pretty straight forward, but visual aide is appreciated!
