  1. How much does your tonneau cover leak?

Asking those who have leaks at the front corners.... did your tonneau not come with 2 pieces of dense closed cell foam inserts for each corner to help seal? My Trifecta did and I know I didn't fuss over placing them all that perfectly and I still don't have any leaks at front corners.
  2. How much does your tonneau cover leak?

I have the soft folding Extang Trifecta 2.0 in the optional Signature Series fabric (more canvas like than the standard marine vinyl). No water in bed, not even when I pressure wash at home. We sell truck accessories which includes different brand hard and soft tonneau covers and normally I...
  3. One Year Review

Only things I had done under warranty: Truck only had a few hundred miles on it when it died out while driving (thankfully only about 4 miles from home) and it turned out to be the serpentine belt had a little defect, like a pencil eraser size chunk out of the one edge of the belt. A little...
  4. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

I see Home Depot has Quikrete 60# bags in stock. I may try starting off with 2 bags and see what that feels like. Thanks for the idea!
  5. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

I just looked up the weight of the DeeZee brand rubber met mat. It only weights 40 lbs. for the Ranger 5' bed, so probably not enough weight for what I was hoping. I do have the factory lined truck bed and for the type of cargo I usually might haul, sliding hasn't been a problem. I did buy...
  6. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

I'm at almost 13,000 miles on the truck... it will be 3 years old in April. I the Eibach 5100 rear shocks put on at about 900 miles. Still stock leaf springs. With the 200# of weight in the back, it just felt so much more planted and bumps/breaks in the road weren't nearly as noticeable. I do...
  7. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

The name brand mats, about $140 USD. I think on line you can find some no-name mats a lil cheaper. We have noticed when we bought the cheaper ones, we tended to get mats with the a petroleum smell (best I can describe it).
  8. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

That's a good idea! We actually sell rubber bed mats in our retail store. I wish WE could buy them though for $50, those days are long gone. Next time I order from the distributor, I'll have them add one for my Ranger to the order.
  9. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

I guess the easy answer then is to leave 100# of something back there. Two bags of pine pellets would weigh about 90# and wouldn't take up too much room. Thanks everyone for the input!
  10. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

I don't know if it makes a difference that I only have the stock 4x4 XLT Crew, not a FX4 or Sport.
  11. Why with weight in truck bed it rides better (sorry posted in wrong category and I can't find out how to move thread)

So I normally take the old Mountaineer to Tractor Supply when I need a few bags of pine shavings and pine pellets for horse bedding (I like to mix it in with the bulk sawdust I buy), it's just easier for me to load and unload because the cargo area sits lower. But yesterday, I was coming home...
  12. Help!, What oil?

I had the dealer do the first oil change at 3000 miles (the "Works" plus paid the extra $30 for upgrade to full synthetic) and since go every 4500 - 5000 miles for the same thing. Since I only put about 4500 miles on a year, that's once a year for me. Full synthetic.
  13. B Pillar Applique

I don't intend to remove it, but for some reason watched a You Tube video the other day on the removal process. I don't remember if the link to the video was posted here on the forum in a different thread, or if I just came upon it in You Tube. Really though, it just looked like the guy in the...
  14. Just migrated to a 2019 Lariat FX4 with sketchy low miles from a 2017 Edge Sport

Just maybe... those floor mats might be behind the back seat! Check there. When I bought my truck new, day of picking it up I asked my salesman why there were no carpeted floor mats. He looked over the paperwork, said he didn't know. A year later of so, I was checking out how the back seat...
  15. any one need sewing machines?

That is very nice of you. Sorry to hear about your mother. Hope she is holding her own. I used to sew dog-crate mats/beds for my dogs and for friend's dogs. I have an electronic (as they pretty much all are for home use) Elna that I used. The thickness of the mats was a struggle for my...
  16. Rangers in SNOW

I really can't say anything about my Ranger in the snow. I leave it in the driveway when we have snow here in Pennsylvania because the roads are heavily salt/brined. I drive my old 2003 Mountainer 8cyl AWD. It's a heavy vehicle with new tires and goes great in the snow... unless snow is...
  17. Ford Ranger Sales Down

I drive by a Ford dealership twice a day to and from work. Haven't seen a Ranger on the lot, probably since early Summer 2023. Always 5 or 6 F150s or F250s though. Never see a used Ranger on their lot either. Rural central Pennsylvania.
  18. Long term reliability of the 2.3

My first new car was a 1974 Ford Mustang II with the 4 cyl. 2.3 engine. What a dud. Was a cute car, but really lacked any ooomph when you pressed the pedal and really minded that going up long hills. I remember having the cam shaft replaced twice in the 5 years I owned it. I think first time was...
  19. Got the little wrench

I don't know about the clunk, but I got the wrench when my truck loss power. I could start it and drive about 200 yards and it would lose power again. Turned out it was the serpentine belt had a little tiny half moon shape hole on one edge. I don't remember the exact mileage when it happened...
