Hi all, I noticed recently that when I disengage the parking brake and start driving in the morning, I get a light on my dash saying the parking brake is on, I push down on the brake lever and it goes off.

I feel like the leather boot around the brake lever is keeping it from disengaging, especially in the cold weather, cause it's so stiff. I tried to manipulate the boot, but that didn't seem to help.

Anyone else have this issue?

I have had similar in my own truck. My recommendation to you if possible is remote start it let it warm up for a little bit before you go out to the truck and then disengage if I can take before you leave. I have noticed that if the cab itself is warmer the parking brake boot is a little bit more pliable and doesn't pass as much issues with parking brake

I dont use my P brake, but your synopsis sounds feasible

dont worry though, soon it will start cracking and allow the lever to fully seat with no resistance
Exactly... I just saw the thread about that and looked at where mine is creasing.
