any update on bronco availability

Yes, I did a final fit on the top bracket recently, it's back to the model for a rework, I have to adjust the manifold pad angle a little bit.

Don't get too excited, it's going to be a tough install when I get it done, or I will have to use a quick release type of connection at the trans, which will make it more expensive.

With the dipstick on the drivers side, it will require a cable dipstick to manage the sharp bends I think, but my current dipstick mfg makes those as well, so it's an easy change.

But, I'm always working on things!!

Thanks.

Hey Everyone,

I'm Mike, from Mike's Build Shop,

I figured I would put up a new topic and formally introduce my product, it's a Extended Automatic transmission Dipstick, for the 2019-2023 2.3T Ford Ranger with 10R80 transmission. Not like anyone is tired of the 160+ page previous topic that started all of this.

It is a plug and play transmission dipstick, it comes pre-marked in every way, the factory fluid level markings and the instructions on how to check the fluid are laser etched on the stick, as well as the required fluid type is printed on the handle, it is a reproduction OEM Ford dipstick handle for factory appearance.

I have the website up and going: https://mikesbuildshop.com/

You can see some pictures and get additional information on the website if you are interested, as well as the great installation video quangdog did?

I just have the one product so far, the Ranger extended transmission dipstick, but I do plan on developing one for the Bronco, F150, maybe Mustang.

I hope to have already reached out to anyone and everyone who had voted, or expressed interest in the previous transmission dipstick topic, which is:

https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/remote-transmission-dip-stick-aftermarket-support.24547/

This topic also relates to the MBS dipstick:

https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/thre...tzstick-transmission-dipstick-face-off.29977/

It's been an interesting journey, from reading the original dipstick topic, to the post on April 13th, 2023 where I said:

What came from it? Me starting a company, Mike's Build Shop, (MBS for short) that builds extended automatic transmission dipsticks, I can only say Wow! It's been a long and bonkers trip at times, but overall it's been good.

It's really the power of social media, if Msfitoy had not put up the topic with the Poll, I would not have seen all the potential customers, combined with the fact, that the support and positive input from the members here, was such a motivating factor, it really made a difference.

So, Thank you very much, the supporters, the customers, everyone!

Mike

#127 here, I ordered this awhile back but was waiting for my warranty to expire (just in case I had problems) before I installed. Very nice setup sir!. I believe it has enough space between it and the defouler not to damage the tube, the stock dipstick came out pretty easy and the install was effortless, Again very nice!

Yes sir, it's for the aftermarket downpipe so it does not throw a O2 sensor error. I don't know if I can explain this correctly but maybe somebody can correct me. the O2 sensor is inline with the exhaust flow. This defouler sits 180 degrees off the flow of the exhaust limiting the gas to the O2 sensor.

Finally used my Fitzfunnel yesterday to add my lube gaurd. When I finished I sprayed the funnel with brake clean to get rid of residue before putting funnel away. It turned it white , hope I didn't ruin it. :headbang:

ABS does not like brake clean, which is usually Acetone, it should be fine! It's just a bit ugly looking.

Fitzfunnel rescued. Sometime I just can't stop my OCD, so I got some of my commercial grade paper towels & the used ULV I pumped out when I installed the lubegaurd & started wiping out the funnel. As a surprise to me funnel don;t look so bad. So no more brake clean. Just a wipe down & drip out & back in my Fitzlock bag. Thanks again Mike. :like: Edit to Fitzlock
