Just curious why you would want to do that?

Kit comes with clamps and a nice top, unless that is of no interest. To each their own I'm just curious ha

And especially as he said above if it's on sale that's a great price compared to what I paid when it first came out
Cost mostly. Just not happy with the large, heavy restrictive OEM muffler.

I just replaced the muffler only with this Gibson one. It was on sale for $60 when I bought it. I'll eventually get around to making a video, but it's basically a little louder than stock under throttle, nearly the same under warm idle. No drone. I'm happy with it. Local shop welded it up with a small extention and hangers for $50.

Awesome, I’ve been looking at that one as well. I’ll wait for your video. When you do, Can you do an outside and inside the cab?
Thanks ??

Is CJPonyParts where you found the muffler for $60?

Yes. Looks like the price has gone back up though.

Well I got the Gibson exhaust and I ran into the same problem. There was no reducer on the intake of the muffler. Not impressed with this company. Now I’ll be driving around with a jacked up exhaust till they fix their mistake.

Anyone have any actual numbers of how much power an exhaust adds? Or trap speed

Well I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag. The Gibson 619717 single catback 304 stainless exhaust has went on sale for a deep discount recently. I ordered this from Wunder Car Parts for $307 shipped with no tax. I actually assumed it was not going to arrive or it would be an incomplete kit because it was the cheapest price I found. But it arrived in 4 days and appears to be complete! What a deal, normally over $500 for this. Took a chance on this little known company too but it's paid off! Install coming next week.

I'm curious about the install issue people have had on this post... almost looks like the inlet side is incorrectly labeled. And the muffler needs to be installed in reverse. Did anyone else have this issue? Thanks!
